Kazaa users

Who here uses it? And what do you use it for? I just downloaded kazaa2.1 like two nights ago and so far im using it for Music videos of bands/artists and tickling clips as well

it's used to download music. Be careful I just had to take my pc in due to a virus that I got from Kaza! I would say not to share files. This is just my opinion.

It sure did mine!, it cost me big bucks to get my fixed. The Tech told me that he would not put Kaza back on my computer at all! So, after paying that kind of money I said no to Kaza. Although I got a lot of use out of it, not sure how the users gave me a virus but I lost a lot of my things due to the virus! I had McAfee for my virus protector LOL Now I have Norton 2003. He did say keep your virus program updated. 🙂

I've downloaded a few songs from Kazaa, it's a good program, but yeah, you have to be careful when sharing files. Also, if you don't want any spyware on your computer, use Kazaa Lite instead of the regular software.

I guess it's cool if you have decent anti-virus. But, I would also block access with your firewall and only open internet access to it when you're using it. (I persoanally do that with every program on my system.) Another safeguard is to use direct CD to save them, rather than saving them to the harddrive and then burning them. This way, nothing is on the harddrive and you can scan the disc before playing anything. There ARE folks who use kazaa and other file sharing programs for the express purpose of infecting others.
