Hey all, hopefully this is just my computer & not a problem with the forum!

Anyway I keep trying to do a search in the forum, but whenever I click on one of the resulting topics I get redirected to an advertisement page for porn companies. I've tried erasing cookies, re-logging in, etc etc.

The link below is where I get sent:
http://www.fetishassets.com/network_includes/error/

I've given it a few tries and it only seems to affect certain links. Are these threads that no longer exist?
Example: try searching for something obscure like "April O'neil" in the clips section (classic I might add 😀) and try clicking on the results it gives!

Your pc is perhaps infected with some spyware, you could fix that trouble using some cleaning program or antispyware as : Spybot S&D or another one similar. I had a trouble like you and i fixed it using that program. Good luck.

Our server administrator informed me that this is the default error page for TTC's server and is not due to a hacker or spyware. Still, it never hurts to scan your system for spyware regularly as a general precaution.

Ok, good to know -- will definitely be running Norton & Spyware scans in any case. Thanks for the responses!

If your system has a system restore tool, try using it. Getting redirected means you have some type of spyware.. This sounds a lot like stealware, where a file is making your computer visit a certain site instead of the intended one.
Restoring your system to a date where it was functioning properly might work. You keep any current documents you have...though you will lose installed programs if they were loaded after the restore point.

Although most unexpected redirects are caused by malicious software, this one is the error page on TT's server and is not harmful. From a discussion among the staff:

'Tis a site on the server the TT is on. Whois lookups of infojoe.com, tickletheater.com and fetishassets.com show the same IP and DNS as well as the same method of whois privacy protection. This page appears to be what infojoe set as the default error page. Something is giving an error when folliwing links in searches and this error page pops up. I suspect a possible fudged line or two in .htaccess.

Infojoe said:
Yep, just to confirm this is not a worm - it is my page and only appears when there is an error - 404, 403, 500 error etc

Cheers,

I'd say that this is a classic case of adware/spyware, and/or a virus. To be on the safe side, you should run scans for all these kind of things. A good place to get an anti-spyware tool for free is here:

Hope this helps!
