Ah, I wish some of you lived in the LA market to hear what Phil said today regarding those words in OUR LOCAL MEDIA. He said he should not have used those words. He meant to say Kobe try to ignite the offense, but the other guys watched him play instead of getting involved.
Kobe then said Phil has every right to speak his mind in the media. He coaches players in the media. He's not worried about it.
Man Flock, you sure hate a guy who won 5 rings. 2 without Shaq. I like the list you put. Jordan, Magic, Kareem, Oscar Robertson, Tim Duncan, Dr. J, and Bill Russell. But I almost choked on food when you put Shaq displaying leadership. Really? Are you serious? Are you naive? Shaq with leadership qualities? The same guy who never worked out in the summer to get himself in shape for the season? The same guy who said "I will heal on company time"? Man, you are a silly guy if you think Shaq's "leadership" qualities belong in the same sentence as those legends you mentioned. Do me a favor. Read Jeannie Buss' book. She will tell you what happened in 2004 when Shaq left the Lakers. I will give you a hint. It had nothing to do with Kobe....
Get a grip of yourself. No Laker fan gives a rat's ass if Kobe is not as great as Jordan. Laker fans don't give a fuck so to speak about Jordan's legacy. All we care about are those 16 championship banners and when will we get another. Chicago has ONE legend. We have at the bare minimum 3. Kareem, West, Magic. Chicago can't touch our legacy. Jordan can be Jordan all he freakin wants. When's our next championship? That's all that matters. But it will be sweet when Kobe surpasses Jordan's ring total......
