La Pucelle Doujinshi

As some of you may know, I'm in the process of making a La Pucelle doujinshi. I'm not sure how many pages it will run, but I think 15 will be about right. The picture was big so I had to scan each half seperately. As a result, most of the panel borders have uneven or rough lines. I should be able to correct the problem next time. I think this is a good start, though.

Here's the first page, plus some bonus Prier pictures. ^^

My friend, with all respect, that sentence is for that people that always judge every comment in bad way, people that only watch (or believe to watch) bad things in each post. Ah, don't worry about that. Its peanuts. Thats why what I said to you was a joke. If I was seriously going to do someone in though, it sure as hell wouldn't be that way. Although, maybe there would be some kind of antiquated benefit to doing it that way. People would take note of a guillotine murder in this day and age. I'd be known as, like, "the guillotine murderer". Only problem though is carrying that heavy contraption around without raising suspicion.

I remember playing that game for a while, but I soon lost interest in them and gave to my god-brother. But I must admit, it was something.

Wow. Viewing the first page with Firefox's auto fit-to-screen size makes everything look bizarre. 😛 Reminds me a bit of the Cardboard Tube Samurai of Penny Arcade, in terms of flow and depiction, at least on the first page. Little action for long periods, then bursts. Although, of course, I have no idea what is actually going on. But, then, when do I ever? The third reminds me of =3-tan or :3-tan or whatever her name is with the face, aye. Me likey! Lots of things reminding, no? :happy:

And I should know Yu-Gi-Oh! guy's name ... what was it ... ah, Bandit Keith.

Let them think differently. Its their right to do so. Pointing them out makes them stick out, and thats not necesssarily what anyone wants. Plus, theres no problem that I can see. Thank you for being cautious though.

Nippon Ichi games, such as La Pucelle, have their own specific style as far as graphics and storytelling are concerned. People either like it or they don't. What sets NIS (short for Nippon Ichi Software) apart from the other game companies is that they still use 2d sprites and do some things the old fashioned way with handdrawn backgrounds, etc. Thats how they roll, despite they could do better if they wanted to. We live in a time where if video games aren't given the best treatement the technology of the time has at it's disposal, it turns off alot of younger gamers who base alot of the quality and worth of a game purely on it's visuals.

NIS isn't some big company like Square Enix. Its quite the niche company, and just like any company, it has fans that back it up and keep it in the game (figurtively and literally).

LOL, anyways, I can see how it doesn't make sense right now, but it will with each following page.

To discribe it anyway, the scene takes place in Meuniere Forest (an actual location in the game). This story starts with the end of a chase. The panting and heavy breathing is actually coming from Prier, not the ghost. I know that probably doesn't look the case now, but the second page may show her a little winded, as they've been out hunting demons the entire day and this was the last of them.

Another thing to note is that the sun is going to set soon. I also wanted to take several panels and just draw nature and the location they're in. Its important, for me, to not only have an establishing shot, but subsequent shots of the environent. Not every page is going to look like this, but if I can manage to work in the atmosphere that will be good.

I added another one of the doodles I forgot to add earlier. Also, I'll be using this thread to continue the upload of the doujinshi and probably other Prier/La Pucelle related art until the doujinshi is finished. That way we don't have multiple threads for the same series and we're all nice and tidy and proper. 😉

I'm not familiar with this game/anime/manga whatever... but all I can say is:

I love the =3 faces xD anything with extensive use of =3 faces scores in my book xD

It's a game titled La Pucelle: Tactics (though many refer to it simply as La Pucelle, especially when they're refering to it more as a story than a game).
