Hello! I create this thread so we can post pics of characters who can be used in games. I think it's important to help them to find decent pics because it's really long to find decent pics. So if we can help them this way, I think they'll be encouraged to continue to create more games for the community. I'll post some pics that can be used in games (For RPG battles, full body pics are required and not only the face). Don't hesitate to participate to this (you're not forced to post only pics. Good soundtracks can be posted as well).

I don't think just grabbing pictures from wherever should be the extent of it. What about backdrops, sound effects, plot ideas, or custom created images to use?

Creating games takes more than just bunching a few images together and somehow making it work.

There's a whole lot of other stuff you have to consider, stuff you don't even think of until you start making something yourself. Your intentions were good though so I can't really discredit you for that.

Ever tried making a game? If there's something you really want to see being made why not give it a try yourself? It's not as crazy as it sounds.

There's tons of tutorials on YouTube on how to use gamemakers such as rpg maker. They take you step by step from map creation, handling events, use of pictures etc. Here's an real basic example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SneWwiI5v1k

Like I said, if there's a game idea you think would be cool to make why not give it a try? 🙂

I know doing a game is not just a matter of pics. But even if it's slight, it can still be usefull. Sometimes if you want to fine a pic that was never used before for a game you'll spend a lots of time. I know mapping, programmations etc ... are what take the most of time. But those are things I can't give adives for since I never tried myself. And besides there already a lots of tutorials on youtube.

What's left after that? Mainly pics and music.

But of course, if someone has difficulties while he is creating a game, I guess that someone can always ask a question her. More experienced creators will certainly be glad to give him answers.
