1st off all let me remind you all of our own TMF Fantasy League....
http://www.ticklingforum.com/showthread.php?t=85790
details in that thread.
Now then...
This thread is for information a few tips and some food for thought.
This is all my own educated opinion, and some many of you will agree and disagree with. This is just from me to all of you.

2005 was a tough year for Quarterback injuries during and especially at the end of the year. Many people who saw a great 2004 campaign as reason to draft Dante Culpepper as their first round pick were oboviously dissapointed by his performance and injury. Ben Rothlesberger, Donovan McNabb, Marc Bulger all missed time due to injuries and a few QB's are not at 100% or assured at starting when the season begins.
There is a glut of good producing Quarterbacks to be drafted this year, but only one would I pick with a 1st round pick in fantasy leagues. Peyton Manning.
Even though I wouldnt pick him, Id pick a STUD RB first..to see Peyton go in the first round is a good solid pick.
The next set of QB's to me are all good solid QB's I pack them all together in

2nd class....
Matt Hasselbeck, Marc Bulger, Tom Brady, Donovan McNabb, Carson Palmer, Eli Manning, Jake Delhomme
When healthy all these QB's have potential for a 300 yd 3 TD game. They will be consistant performers and will anchor a great Fantasy Team for an entire season....as long as they remain healthy.

3rd class....
Jake Plummer, Micheal Vick, Drew Bledsoe, Kurt Warner, Ben Rothlesberger, Aaron Brooks, Byron Leftwich
Each of these could be weekly starters for me except for each has a little quirk Iam slightly weary of. Plummer did great though last year, but didnt overcome his post-season jinx. Vick....the 2nd greatest throwing HB in the league, is very inconsistant at best and now missing a mainstay reciever be it a 3rd reciever doesnt bode well. Bledsoe and Warner can do great things when they stay upright. Rothlesberger is a good QB but plays on a run-first team which hurts his overall numbers and there is the accident if that will affect him at all. Aaron Brooks has a tendacy to throw too many INT's but a change of scenary might help...but then again it might not. And Leftwich needs to stay uninjured and he will make further strides to a top notch QB.

4th Class...
Chris Simms, Daunte Culpepper, David Carr, Brett Farve, Trent Green, Drew Brees, John Kitna, Steve McNair, Brad Johnson
These are second stringers in my book. Either at the end of a carrer or to much of an inconsistant carrer for me to count on week in and out.
The exceptions here are McNair and Brees. I lump them here though because they are both on new teams and both have had injuries recently.

5th Class...
Charlie Frye, Mark Brunell, Billy Volek, Philip Rivers
A group of QB's I stay away from unless Im desperate or need a 3rd QB backup. There could be breakout performances from any or all of these QB's, but more than likely they will have 4 good weeks, 10 poor weeks and could be benched for another QB at anytime.

6th Class...
Alex Smith, Patrick Ramsey, Kelly Holcomb, Rex Grossman, Chad Pennington, Brian Griese, Josh McCown, Andrew Walter, JP Losman, Joey Harrington, Kyle Boller, Craig Nall, Jason Campbell
If you want to take a chance on them...good luck, of this group only Alex Smith is assured to start at QB, if you call the 49ers job a starting QB.

Well there my list on the QB's....hope its helpful. Ill be posting on RB's next.
Well there you go.....discuss.

Rob

T T T T T T T Trent Green fouth class!!!!!!!!!!????? I I I I I I can't even look at you!!!! How could you say that about my hometown QB??? :cry1:

............................ okay ACTUALLY I agree he is! But seriously, I think you might have overated Eli and underated Rothlesberger...........

I am slightly overrating Eli....but its from a fantasy points view. With a lot of swing passes to Tiki, and a proven top notch reciver in Burress, he has the ability to do well. Also with Shockey...as long as Shockey is ready for the season.

And Big Ben, I love but not from a fantasy standpoint....the team is run orientated which usually gives him 20 or less throws a game.

Even on fantasy.................I would be reluctant to draft Eli. Too inexperienced.

Are you joining the league to play?

I actually had Eli Manning last year...but I also had Jake Delhomme.

Normally, I'd agree on this point, Rob. However, Ben has proven his arm is a very real threat as well as WR Hines Ward and sophomore TE Heath Miller. Some evidence of the confidence they have in Ben's throwing was displayed last year. I believe this year, the passing game may be more in balance with the running game. Just my $0.02 worth.
