The Band's first four albums were a significant part of the soundtrack of my life back in the day...

(To say nothing of Dylan's "Basement Tapes" with the Band)

Legendary voice, so mystical. It sounded hundreds of years old but at the same time so far ahead of most of the music of that era. Looks like this will be one of those unfortunate instances where it has taken a performer to die for me to buy all the stuff of theirs that I don't already have.
