Oree, are you volunteering to host the Arizona Gathering in your own home? Excellent! When shall we set the date for this event?
Seriously, it's tough for most folks to conceive of having a group of unmet strangers into their homes for an event based on a sexual deviancy. I did so, when I'd my own home, but now that I'm living with two roommates, I'd not conceive of it, more for the sake of my attendees than anything else. No one wants to be ogled as an oddity, after all.
Anyone arguing that it's simple to host needs to contact me about dates to host in their home. I'll fly out if I'm free. I've no problem with the notion of helping someone host. It's just no good when someone's been pressured into hosting.
If anyone out in AZ wants an assist in coordinating or organizing an event in their location, do contact me. Oree's right about you folks having enough people to justify an event. You need only to get together.
Alternatively, might I suggest you have a munch, first? More simply put, meet in a public place, like a café or burger joint. One person needs to bring an object that's easily recognizable. A toy or the like will work admirably. Set a date and time, and meet in this location. To assure seats, the coordinator would benefit from getting rsvps from the locals.

Well.....not exactly offering to host (or hostESS in my case), since my one bedroom apartment is a tad smaller than MOST homes I'm sure. But if there were a 'munch' being planned, or even (gulp)

As I've held several gatherings in hotel rooms, there's no such thing as too small a place. What happens is simple - you host an event for N people, where N is the number of folks you can comfortably seat in your home. Having folks bring lawn chairs can work to aid this.
Seriously. Wouldn't you show to an event I had, even if I warned you that seating was likely to be lawn chairs? Would that matter? Nope.
The hardest part of getting a gathering together, at least for me, is finding a location. The hotel deal was an interesting experiment, but the cost is, for me, prohibitive, if only because I've locations here that are free. We here are looking into leased space, by virtue of wanting somewhere that we needn't clean, before or after. It's worth the money to avoid such, these days.
There's already enough folks for a small event, and if you want me to come out and help host it, and run your guests through my questionairre, etc., I'm happy to do so, and/or to teach you how. It's really easier than you'd think, and lots of fun, quite frankly.
