Losing a Grandpa is always rough at any age...And Grandkids need support and guidence to get thru this. You the Man, Ray, for seeing this and supplying what your kids need. Believe it or not, at my age I STILL have a Grandad AND Grandma live and kickin', and I'm not ready to part with them yet.
John Ritter, the perpetual funny man, Jim Carrey before Jim Carrey. A pop Icon of the 70's & 80's, whose career was still going strong until his sad and early death. What's really sad is Mr. Ritter's passing has been overshadowed by the death of Johnny Cash. If you get a chance, rent the obscure (And just plain FREAKY!) horror movie, "The Other," from about 1974. You'll see a young Mr. Ritter at the beginning of his career having nothing at all to do with comedy.
Johnny Cash was, and forever will be, a legend in the music industry. A few years back he recorded a completely ass-kickin' rock tune, "Rusty Chains," I think. (Why do I keep thinking "Broken Nails?") The respect earned by Mr. Cash is doubled by the fact that he conquered the radio at a time when our nation would not allow minorities to enjoy the same success as good, old-fashioned Anglo folks...I guess the production execs at the time were unaware that Mr. Cash was half Anglo, half American Native.
God Welcome Them Both.
