i have a friend that used to have really ticklish feet. me and some of my other friends would always have tickle fights with her and her feet, especially her toes were always the best spots to go for. however, just a few days ago everytime we'd go for surprise attacks on her feet, she said that it doesnt tickle as much as it did before. now it's to the point where she's not even ticklish there anymore? is there any way for her to regain her ticklishness on her feet again?

I've seen that exact same thing happen before. I've known a couple of people at least who were ticklish on their feet at one point, but after a while just lost it. And it wasn't because they didn't take care of their feet or anything like that. The sad part is, they don't seem to really want it back. I can't think of any ways she could get her ticklishness back, though. 🙁

I can't say there is, but maybe the best thing to do, and I know this may sound like alot to ask, would simply be to not tickle her feet anymore for a while. I know I've lost alot of my ticklishness, and I don't think it's really come back, though I can't really say for sure since I havn't been tested on it. But I have heard of it happening. It possibly has to do with being tickled there so much that she's grown someone accustomed to it, so letting off for a while could help.

what about the whole soaking ur feet or using baby oil to soften them up tactic?

Baby oil doesn't soften skin, per se. It moisturizes and is particularly useful after a shower to lock in moisture that you might otherwise lose. In tickling, it makes skin slicker so things can glide across the skin faster, but it doesn't really help if someone isn't ticklish to begin with.

Yah, that likely wouldn't work in the case that Sammi said. I was just assuming you meant to make them more ticklish in general.

Like I said, it's probably simply that she expects you to always go for the feet, and they've become adaptive to the usual sensation enough that it doesn't bother them anymore. Guess it would be too much to try anywhere else till they have time to possibly regain that sensation huh? XD Is this like a tickle fight thing y'all have with her, or just all of you tickling her?

I think she prob is still ticklish, but she's gotten used to it. So I suppose time would regain her ticklishness. The human body does get used to sensations on the skin if it is attacked enough.
