Love is for Dummies

I did this illustration some time ago and have been sitting on it, not sure if I should post it. Those who read Bounce of Aces might recognize some of the pose (this started as a gesture sketch in my book for BOA, and I photocopied it and monkeyed around with it a bit).

After reading one of Dave's stories here, and being floored by how good it was. My mind formed some weird connection between his kick-ass story, and this so-so pic I have attached. I dunno... maybe some of the same sort of concepts being explored, or something.

So after getting some very generous feedback about the pic from a great friend of mine (thanks again amigo) - basically I decided to post it here on the forums as well.

Like everything else I do (with the exception of TIS), I post it first on my dA page. Watch me there to see every pic when it first hits the streets 😛

Ooooh, freaky! Both in terms of the lady's extreme eye makeup and the fact that she's making out with a crash-test mannequin! Also, there appears to be some sort of fluid exchange going on via needle transfusion... I'm not convinced this is a totally healthy relationship. Intriguing, though (and beautifully drawn, of course!) Thanks so much for my daily portion of vitamin weird, Deet!
