can't download videos. keeps coming up on " real player." don't know how to erase realplayer. I am not very keen with computer jargon. coulkd you please help? thank you. lovesribs.

Do you mean you cannot download the attached files that preview clips posted here on the forum?

yes. I was on the video/audio clips section and went to see the "eruasian dome" clip and it would not download. I don't remember I did but everytime I try to download a video clip the real player screen appears. I do not know how to delete the real player screen, and I am not computer savvy either. I am pretty sure that if we can erase the "real player" screen from coming up it should be ok. need help please. thanks. lovesribs.

You've activated a 'streaming play' option in real player somehow, so your system tries to stream the clip rather then download it. You'll need to dig around in real players preferences to change it back.

Are you saving the video files to your computer before trying to open them? If you are just left-clicking on them and waiting for them to load, that does not always work well. You need to right-click (command-click on a Mac) and select "Save Target As", "Save Link As", or a similar option and save the file to your computer.

RealPlayer is not the best video player. You may wish to uninstall it entirely and install a more functional alternative, such as the VLC Player. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
