Low Roads (/F, feet)

I did a little experiment today. Beware, it's a failed experiment. 😛

Anyway. There's a couple of things in here:
- Experimenting with tools, colouring and style
- A bit of a tribute to LBH
- And you get to find out where Peggy was at the End of the World.

So it didn't quite turn out the way I would have liked, but maybe some of you might enjoy the picture nonetheless.

PS: Not going to continue this way. I'm much preferring my old drawing style and methods. But it was fun to do something a little different.

PS2: I hope you didn't mind me calling this 'Low Roads', or this taking place here, LBH. It felt the most fitting. 😉

What a keen, spot-on interpretation of the Low Roads, filled with rough-hewn habitations and forbidden merchandise! I certainly don't mind your using the title or the terrain in the slightest, Iloh (please let Peggy know she's welcome to visit as often as she likes!) I'm much tickled , in fact, though not as much as Peggy! I think this new painterly style works quite well, too! I can understand why you wouldn't abandon your established one (I too favor solid, defined linework), but the proffered page exudes a textural softness that's pleasingly rich! Thanks so much for the considerate tribute! I plan to return the favor soon!

She definitely is getting her into a lot of trouble for her friends. But like she says, that's what friends do for each other, eh? Unfortunately reality of it all is a bit darker and they will not meet again after this.

Thanks LBH! I've been trying to sketch the atmosphere of it but found it really hard to work with these colour pencils to that effect. Much harder in fact than I expected. Yet I wanted to import a little of the effect you bring to your comic in this one. I know have solid lines in addition to the colouring (and that makes huge difference), I decided to try take a different road. It was a little experimental like I said. 🙂

I might yet play around with them, try some other things (but this time with real lines) sometime, see if I can make some cool effects. Computer coloured pictures do look very different. But let's see. Not for comics anyway. 😉
