This idea came from The Rocking's thread about how illusions are done. Rather than bring this up in a somewhat unrelated thread, I thought I'd just start one. (You know me...always gotta bring something up.😀 )
Anyway, I'm curious as to how many people are really into the tickling aspect of some Magic Illusions? For me, I could go so far as to say it was probably Magic Tickling that started it all for me, or at least solidified the Path. In '75 I saw Doug Henning put Julie Newmar in a sawing box that was designed to cut the assistant into three pieces. Nothing new by today's standards, but back then it was pretty revolutionary, especially considering that it was a thin-box illusion, horizontal...unlike the standard "Zig-Zag", which is really easy to do once you know the trick. Once he "cut out" the middle of her body, he opened a panel and tickled her bare side. He actually did this for a bit longer than most Illusionists tickle for effect, so I always wondered if Doug was one of us, as he always found a way to incorporate tickling into his act.
This illusion not only set me on my current Path, but had such an impact that my first contribution to this community was my "Jessica" series about tickling in Magic Illusions.
I was just wondering if anyone else had this "Sub-Fetish"? (Is that even a word? Oh, screw it, I'm a writer, I can make up my own words if I want! 😀 )
