I've been studying occult art for some time now... folklore too and I wonder how many people believe in it. Magic, destiny, angels and demons, tarot etc. Do toy believe in it or just think it is crap manufactured by mens weak and scared minds? Do you believe in ancient magic and alchemy, and demons possessions? Do you believe in guardian angels? I want to know how much you believe

Me for instance... I believe it all. There is no reason for me to believe that so many people were just completely looney and that so much books and knowledge would be inherited by newer generations and preserved if it was useless. There must be the reason for its existence, if not for its nature, then for its lessons and philosophy.

I think that with the simple fact that none of us know the truth we all in a way share in belief. The beliefs of one person are different from another.

So yes I do. The very fact that I believe that an intelligence was involved in the creation of our universe would indicate that. We don't know everything as good as our science may be. So there are mysteries beyond our understanding. I don't know all the ways that those mysteries can be engaged.

I won't judge anybody else's beliefs.

(2) demon possession----> yes. I have assisted in casting one out, and have had conversations with missionaries that had first-hand encounters

(3) guardian angels----> If you mean a personal angel that follows me everywhere to protect me from this, that, and the other thing, no. I definatley believe in angels, as they are special beings created by God to fight the enemy and serve as His messengers. The closest I get to believing in 'guardian angels' is the what is described in Psalms 91:11-12

"For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. "

I think that Magic is just an easier way to channel the power of your physical and spiritual body in order to influence your environment.

As far as alchemy goes, I know it's been tried, but without much luck. I'd like to believe there's some sort of magic though. I think there is, and we just haven't really been able to learn much about it, even with all of our science. As far as demonic possession, I've got to say yes on that one, seeing as how one of my best friends was possessed once. I wasn't there, but hearing her talk about it, it definitely sounded creepy and very real. I can believe in guardian angels too, or at least regular angels. There are a lot of stories, ancient and modern, involving them, so there's a lot of testimonies. Besides that, once I had to go to the hospital for something, and I had to have an ultrasound on my heart, and my mom later told me she saw what looked like an angel standing by me. I didn't see it, but it would be cool if it was real.

honestly, i believe in magic, anything can happen, but the whole "evil will enter you after you cast a spell" stuff is a bunch of crap

I basically believe the same as everything that kyhawkeye does, for religious reasons. I DO believe that alchemy is real though, just as either a differentiation from magic or another word synonymous to it. I've heard, seen, and read too many documents about possessed people who were able to alter things in the natural world, ex. physics, or physical harm to others, through influences in the preternatural realm/ spiritual realm. If someone opens the door to that kind of stuff and allows anyone to come in (demons) almost anything is possible to others who are ignorant of the spiritual realm and the power of those who inhabit it.
In the end, practicing alchemy or another form of magic is just opening another door for harmful spirits to enter through. This is all in my opinion though, and I'm friends with a few people who do this and/or are Wiccans. They know my beliefs and still love me as a caring friend as I don't ostracize the 'outside' world, as much as I consciously can.

I beg your pardon, do you know how much trouble I had getting through that keyhole?

Now, as for magic, even though I write about it and RP a lot about it, no I don't believe in it, nor the demon possession, nor anything unnatural. People like mysteries, and that's why common things often get supernatural properties. None of it is scientifically founded.
