1. Gogol Bordello
Gogol Bordello is a multi-ethnic Gypsy punk band from New York. I first heard of them when they opened for Flogging Molly here a few years ago. They're very similar bands in that they're both punk fused with some kind of ethnic folk music. Most of the members of Gogol Bordello are Eastern European which explains their musical influences. My favorite album of theirs is "Gogol Bordello: Underdog World Strike" featuring this song "Not A Crime"

2. Spoon
Spoon is an indie rock band from Austin, Texas. A lot of you have probably already heard of them since they've been around for about 10 years. I only started listening to them recently though and have really only listened to their "Kill The Moonlight" album. I did hear their recent single "You Got Yr. Cherry Bomb" but I didn't find it as good as some of their previous work. Here is "Stay, Don't Go"

3. Stars
Stars is an indie pop band from Montreal. Their earlier music is very electronic-sounding, however they've taken on a more rock-based sound lately. A duet of a a guy and girl vocalists, they're often compared to Belle and Sebastian. I can't say I like one album more than another, since they're all pretty good. Here's "Going, Going, Gone" off their first album "Nightsongs".

4. Yelle
Yelle is a relatively new pop vocalist from Saint-Brieuc, Bretagne, France that became popular through uploading her songs to Myspace. Everything I've heard of hers is in French, so I have no idea what she's actually saying, but I still think her music is fun. Her debut album is called "Pop Up" and here is her hit single "Je Veux Te Voir."
