Malware Monday?

I've just run the system check to .see if my computer was somehow infected with the Estonian hijacking software from last year's scam and bust. Has everyone been keeping up with this? I know that a computer in our office was victimized,,..... (to test for yourself, go to www.dcwg.org and click "detect") Apparently if you've got it and don't know it, you could lose internet service on Monday

Even thinking about this sends me into a rage. Six of the seven criminals responsible are in custody. I just read something about them "facing the court," but I for one would like to see the harshest imaginable punishment meted out,..... cyber crime has gone too far. I'd be willing to make example of these people. Screwing up millions of peoples' computers for either profit or malicious fun is a whole new category of crime. We need a whole new level of penalty.

Thanks for the heads up, I'd not heard about this. I too ran the delete program and it looks like I'm fine. I also ran my anit-malware program and got a clean bill of health.

I'm with you Piper, I mean, I can sorta see people messing with the net when they get something out of it, but to do it just to be mean, that makes me so mad.

I say they should lock them up in the basement of algatraz.
