I just heard a chilling story.

Apparently, there was a man who flew into a rage at a Fairfield, CT McDonalds, because he received the wrong order.

Geffory Weglarz, 55, ordered a meal from a McDonalds in Fairfield on Wednesday night. Upon discovering his order was wrong, he returned to the resturant, and flew into a rage, banging on the drive thru window, and throwing food at a manager through an open window.

Employees of the resturant wrote down his plate number, and called police after Weglarz drove off.

Afterward, the cops confronted Weglarz at his house, where they said he began acting angry at officers. The police found loaded weapons, and many rounds of ammunition at Weglarz;'s house, even though he supposedly had a gun permit,

Weglarz was taken into custody, and the guns and ammo were seized.

Thankfully, no one was hurt in this terrible incident. The guy sounds like a loose cannon ready to explode.

Did anyone hear about this?

Soooo... somehow, a man or a woman that owns weapons legally is not permitted to lose their cool... ever?

Had this man staved in the McManager's head with a bottle of patchouli oil or strangled him with love beads and only had a patch of daisies in his garden... would that make it better?

god help us from dumb

C.A.B. I didn't say that a guy with weapons isn't allowed to fly into a rage. The guy went overboard, was carrying a loaded gun, and was found to have many guns and ammo at his house. Apparently, he must have been considered a threat, if they arrested him, and took his guns and ammo away.

Where in your post did you say he had a loaded gun ON him. Did he pull it? No. He threw food. And even if he was legal concealed carry, so what ... he threw food. The tone of how you present your post is clearly trying to imply some kind of connection between a man having a bad day and gun violence. Shit... you need only to copy and paste the Chicago police blotter for that.

oh and P.S.... even if the most dangerous thing in your house is a box of un-sharpened crayons... if you are belligerent with Cops at your door, they will take you away. And prolly take your crayolas too... and any loose change they find.

Okay.. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to imply that all handgun owners have them for the purpose of doing violent acts. I know that people own guns for protection, and sportsmanship. My former best friend's father had many guns in his house, for protection, and target shooting. .

Maybe I just should have said the guy flew into the rage, and was arrested for doing so. The whole "gun debate" thing is a separate issue.

No need to apologize.

You are just a casualty of liberal media bias. The man just threw food. If that were newsworthy, there would be hundreds of thousands of stories like that one all over the news, everyday. Do you think the person who wrote the story; which I assume, included the gun emphasis, was trying hard to imply more than just "look at the silly man throw his fries at a McManager?" Of course. Especially in Connecticut in light of recent events.

The author of the story has an agenda... but this was a poor attempt to further that agenda. However... the author did get you riled up about guns, even though they have nothing to do with the event, didn't he? That's like saying Mitch likes girls on ladders... and he OWNS a ladder... and since Mitch bit his doorman's ankle because he was cheesed at the TMF, we should examine ladder violence more closely and probably outlaw ladders altogether.

Someone that prone to flying off the handle at the slightest provocation should not be allowed a weapon.

In fact, I'd strongly suggest mandatory Anger Management therapy until he learned how to conduct himself in a civilized manner. Then he can have his toys back.

Tell me. How prone is this man to flying off the handle? What do you know of him? This is one incident of throwing food. Have you never lost your temper? Had a bad day? Are there knives in your house? Do you have access to gasoline? Lawn fertilizer? A car? how many people do you think you could mow down on a city street should you become upset with your online grades? Would you yourself like to be held to such scrutiny? 'Physician, heal thyself.'

Soooo...You can't own a gun to protect yourself in case someone breaks into your house because you threw food at McDonald's employees? And anyone who throws food at McDonald's employees must be crazy and not allowed to own a gun because McDonald's is delicious and you are too angry.

That's basically what you are saying.

Yeah....no. Not too bright of a solution. That whole 'infringing on one's right' thing. He's not a felon, he has no open felony cases against him....just a guy pissed off that he got the wrong food. Is he an asshole for what is tantamount to assault by french fry? Yeah, probably. But that isn't a case for mandatory anger management. Choking the manager out while shoving a big mac down his throat and yelling 'Does this taste like a fucking quarter pounder to you?'.....that is a case for anger management.

Okay... I think you are masturbating way too much! You cannot visit this site until all children with single-mothers, are proven not to be yours...

Without jumping into a gun debate, looking at this as neutrally as possible, the news source blatantly turned it into an issue of gun control. It really doesn't matter which news source you go to. They're ALL controlled by the government, and they all treat people like mushrooms, but I digress.

Screwed-up fast food orders is a pet peeve of mine. However, I am also irritated when people mistreat service industry workers. Should I be able to expect to get what I order and pay for? Of course! However, I feel it is MY responsibility to check my order for mistakes. Generally, I've learned that I'm better off going inside the store, because it's easier to check my food at the counter. Also, it's a common misconception that the drive-thru is faster. Everyone on the lunch rush is falling into this trap, because they're in a rush, thinking they'll save time by staying in their car. I find that killing people with kindness--even when they're the type of person who clearly hates their job, is more effective at getting good service. People take abuse in every line of work. If you're the type of person contributing to that, you're not helping the situation.

I don't care if he owns guns or not, he acted like an ass in public and it gave the cops an invitation to his door. Even then, he still behaved like an ass which gave the cops an invite inside his home. He brought his problems on himself; until then he could've kept a militia arsenal and no one would've known or cared.

His issues are self inflicted; go learn how to manage your anger and temper and keep the public out of your business.

Bottom line: If you govern yourself, no one will have to do it for you.
