Man of Steel

Hey guys, the new Man if Steel is out, I'll be seeing it tonight. I know Superman has been done a lot but I must admit this looks like the best incarntion of it yet. It helps that Christopher Nolan was the producer. Let me know what you guys think after you watch it. I saw in one review that one of the final fights is supposed to be as good if not better than the Avengers fight in NYC. That seems hard to believe, but we'll see. Just got back from it, and without giving away any spoilers it was awesome!! While the diehard comic book fans may have an issue with it because it is darker than all of it's predecessors, it was still a great movie. It also had some of the best action sequences I have seen in a movie, right up there with Avengers and a few others. Also pretty crazy ending to say the least. To the Average fan it should be a fun and exciting movie, to the comic book fans they may have a few issues. To me, it is worth seeing.

I'm really looking foward to seeing this movie! I'm considering the 3-D but i tend to get motion sickness when the action gets crazy jumpy and shaky. (blaire witch and cloverfield had me tossing my cookies) Ya think i should skip the 3-D??

Yea, I don't care much for 3-D, so I say skip it. It's visually awesome without seeing it in 3-D. Watch Krypton in the beginning, looks incredible. I'll give the movie a B+, very good movie, as I stated before great action up there with Avengers and a few others, story not quite as good as say Avengers, Star Wars, and others. Still damn good nonetheless.

Been having a marathon all week of the other 5 movies. In the middle of Superman Returns right now. Hope to see Man of Steel Sunday or Wednesday, been looking forward to it since seeing the trailer in front of The Dark Knight Rises last year.

Have to say, I plan on stealing this one from the internet, specifically because I want the ability to trash it in detail without paying the producers.

Not to be all about spoiling everyone else's fun, but this is basically an alien invasion story, in which the hero is... the alien.

I also hate to call comic books 'books' at all, but read Superman: Red Son. Then see if you can muster up a shit for whatever they're pumping out this week from the CGI/screenplay-by-numbers factory.

Until we see Superman the anti-hero; Superman the confused, cloying sycophant; Superman the ego-driven monster, then we won't be doing anything remotely interesting with the character.

Zod is pretty impressive in the movie. Lois Lane didn't really feel like Lois Lane to me though. A few minor gripes but like I said overall, just damn awesome!

Zod, I can't wait to hear what you thought of Zod from MOS.

I loved the movie and will see it again, was it perfect? No but it was exactly what we needed, action-packed and passionate Superman movie.

I absolutely DESPISED this movie!!!! 😡

Everything from the script, the score, the cinematography, the lighting, the editing, the pacing, the total lack of any character development from ANYONE and Superman not being in any way shape or form Superman! This movie is one of the most infuriating movies I've seen all year!!

Debating on seeing this or World War Z this weekend. I thought Z would suck but it's getting decent reviews..
