Forum members who saw the Jim Carrey movie "Liar Liar" probably remember the plot.. how Jim Carrey's character is a lawyer in the movie, who breaks promises to his son, and the son makes a wish that his father never tells a lie again, and then suddenly the father tells the truth, always.
People who saw that movie may remember a very funny scene where Carrey is in an elevator with some people, and it apparently smelled terrible. Someone had farted, and as Jim Carrey is exiting the elevator, he turns around and takes responsibility for the fart, shouting "It was ME".
This morning, I was on a subway into Manhattan.. Even though it was close to 10am, and not really rush hour, the subway was packed. Suddenly,, someone. (Not me) had apparently farted.. It smelled absolutely sickening, like a true rotten egg. No one said anything, but, people were apparently affected, making faces, and holding their noses, etc.
That situation made me think of the Jim Carrey scene in the elevator in Liar Liar, because of everyone's reaction in the subway of making faces, and holding their noses at the horrible fart smell.
