Massive cold wave gripping much of the country.

The snow started in the wee hours in the morning here at home. So far,it is not the heavy wet snow. Hopefully,it will remain that way. The wet snow is hard on the snow blower. Later, hopefully tomorrow,I get to dig out the big rig. Getting the snow off the trailer roof will not be fun. I may insist my company send someone out to remove the snow off the trailer roof.

I really do not like driving down the road with snow blowing off the roof.

Right now it looks like a blizzard outside my window. Heavy blowing snow, and high winds. They claim, however, that only 2 inches is on the ground, and that it is supposed to change to a wintry mix, and then rain. The temp has risen to close to 30, after being in the low 20s last night. They are still saying snow totals of 8 to 12 inches. If it does rain, it may not be that much, unless it either doesn't change, or there is a period of snow after ward.

The snow is not over yet. It is very windy, and they said we may even get some rain and thunder tonight, before it changes back to snow, and accumulates a couple of more inches, before finally ending overnight.

Oh, and if this isn't bad enough, another "Light Snow Event" is forecast for NYC on Saturday with another couple of inches of snow.

I am really hoping no more snow over night. Enough is too much already.

I just heard a clap of thunder outside my window, and it is currently raining heavily. Supposedly, this is forecast to change back to all snow by midnight, and accumulate up to another five inches, on top of the nine that has fallen today,.

Snow, sleet, rain, thunderstorms, more snow. OMFG what a storm this has been,

Edit: I just saw a couple of big lightning flashes right outside the window. A snowstorm with rain, thunder and lightning. I truly don't remember a storm like this before.

As if we haven't had enough already this winter.. More Fucking Snow today! GRRRRRRRR! This time, a "Winter Weather Advisory". (I just love that term) is in effect until 11pm tonight, for up to 4 inches of snow. I cancelled my weekend plans to go to a friend's house in NJ, because the roads are so slippery. All horse race tracks in the North East, from Acqueduct, to Philadelphia, and Maryland, are cancelled.

Tomorrow and Monday are going to be cold, but sunny, and then,, it is finally going to warm up, with highs in the 40s. I hope we see no more snow this winter after today. Its enough already!

Today was brutally cold, in the 20s, with high winds.

Of course, believe it or not.. more fucking snow is forecast from tomorrow night into Tuesday. It sounds like this time will be a 2 to 3 inch event,.

Hopefully, the warm up that is forecast for later in the week will stay,. This is simply too much.

Hi. Just wondering if anyone can please update me on how cold it is where they live & what the weather's currently like & what it's forecast to be.

'Cause, y'know...winter.

Today was very cold and windy, not above 30 degrees F.

As expected.. The "Winter Weather Advisory" has been issued for NYC for tomorrow, for up to 5 inches of snow. It is supposed to stay mostly snow, and be heavy at times, but may also mix with rain.

Sigh. Here we "Snow" again.

Heavy snow is falling outside my window now. The good news is,.. supposedly... the snow is forecast to end quickly.

After this, a big warm up is expected, with temps in the 50s, and even "Rain and Thunder" predicted for Friday. Even if it does "Rain and Thunder", such will be a welcome respite, from the horrible cold, and massive amounts of snow, we've had this winter.

The weather has warmed up here, dramatically. Today is nearly 50 degrees, and tomorrow is supposed to be even warmer, with thunderstorms, a rare occurrence for Feb.

This beautiful weather isn't supposed to last, though. The long range forecast is for a plunge back into the deep freeze, with highs only in the low 20s by next week. Its too bad. This feels like a wonderful reprieve, after the miserable winter we've had, with all the brutally cold weather, and seemingly constant snow.

NYC will have a wonderful reprieve from the brutal weather this weekend. Forecast highs are in the 50s. The great weather isn't going to last, unfortunately, as by the middle of this week, temps are supposed to crash again, with highs in the 20s, and "Snow Showers", expected.

dude today the high was 70. yesterday it was 65. but tomorrow we may get freezing rain or snow. there was snow on the ground a week ago. oklahoma weather is notorious for being unpredictable. no wonder everybody in this state is sick...the weather goes back and forth constantly, except for summer...then you can count on heat, more heat and extreme heat....oklahoma...go figure...as far as im concerned keep your ice up north

After the warmth of this weekend, the cold has returned with a vengeance. It is very windy outside now. Wednesday is forecast to have "AM Light Snow", with a balmy low temp of 13 degrees that night. BRRRRRR!

The "Polar Vortex" has returned. Snow is falling outside my window now. Tomorrow night's low is supposed to be a balmy.. 9 degrees.

Then.. over the weekend.. guess what? Another winter storm! YAY! The forecast is for a "Wintry Mix" on Sunday, turning to "Snow" on Sunday night, and Monday.

I don't think I will have ever been so glad, to see a winter end.

Dude have you become the TMF weather man or what? You know with the internet being what it is today it's easier than ever to find out the weather. I, for example, can open an app which comes built in to my iPod and see what the weather is like all the way over in New York faster than you could look out your window. I mean I'm British and we're supposed to love talking about weather but dude!

What I am or aren't, doesn't really matter, chord. If you don't like my posts.. take the Larry Flynt approach to what he said about Hustler magazine, don't read them.

Anyhow..

More brutal cold has invaded. Tomorrow morning is expected to be in the single digits, with highs only in the low 20s.

Another storm is coming again late in the weekend, with, it looks like, a wintry mix, from late Sunday into Monday.

...fair enough 🙂

It is getting colder with the wind blowing and we are to see another storm here on Sunday night into Monday morning.

The wind today is brutal. Tonight's low is expected to be a balmy.. 5 degrees.

As I write this, we're under a wind-chill advisory. It could go as low as -17 F (-27.2 C).

Enough already with the stupidly cold weather.

It is brutally cold out today. Highs in the low 20s.

The first.. inkling of what is to come is in the NYC forecast. While there have been no official watches or warnings yet. The forecast for Monday on www.weather,com is for "Potential for Significant Snow accumulation" with a first forecast of 4 to 8 inches expected. Last night on TV I heard there could be anywhere from 6 to 12 inches.

It looks like something big is coming. It is just a question of how much.

I was able to get online for one minute. Supposedly there is a general problem in the area.

I just saw that the dreaded "Winter Storm Watch" has been issued for NYC from 3pm tomorrow to 3pm Monday, for 4 to 8 inches of snow. The only good thing, is that the temps are supposed to be very cold, which likely means it will be a fine, power type snow, and not heavy, wet, or ice/sleet.

Here we go again. What a winter.

Well Mitch, I have to tell ya'...

When I advised you to make a thread about the weather, you sure took me seriously! :laughhard:

And with 150 responses, so did a lot of other folks!

Carry on....:shake:
