Im not gonna make a huge post here about this unless I get some responces..but does anyone know of or remember Meco? Ya know..Mr. Star Wars guy LOL. Theres much more to him than that but wanna see if theres any fans out in the tickling world.

Producer/Arranger Meco Monardo was a great man and genius and produced many classic disco records under his own name and for many other NYC local disco acts as well as some stuff over in the UK. The Empire Strikes Back 10" EP was a great pop/rock rendition of tracks from the soundtrack. Also, you should check out his most recent album from 2000 "Dance Your Astroids Off To Star Wars And The Phantom Menace". Good combo of Pop/Dance Pop and Techno versions of some music from the recent "Star Wars" film as well as updated remixes of all the classic stuff (including Empire Strikes Back).

Sounds interesting, I'll have to check it out. It would be interesting to hear how he tackles the Episode I themes. I've been doing a teched-up version of the Battle Theme (The one used leading up to the three-way duel and reprised in Episode II as Anakin is racing through the desert on a swoop bike.). I do a synth version of it as an intro for second set.
