Making this post in reference to funny852's reply in another thread about the amount of bare feet you see in the media these days. Its no secret that its dramatically gone up and it wouldnt suprise me if they were going by a "fetishist demographic" or something. Like that one body lotion ad with girl sticking her long bare soles right up in the camera or the Sheryl Crowe video where shes showing off her feet the whole time. Looks like they found other effective "sellable sex" imagery other than the traditional breasts, butt and legs. Any comments?

The print media, too...I swear, there's a photographer with 'People' whose been there for years, I know he's got a HUGE foot fetish, he always shoots female celebs prominently barefoot.
Look, feet ARE sexy, everyone knows they're sexy, even people who don't have a predilection for them. If they weren't, then why would the phrase "f*ck me pumps" have come into use? Hey, the more feet, the merrier!

Definatly agree with this.
Not only in the media but in TV shows, Advertising, products etc.
Feet are definatly a focus and it has been slowly coming on to the secne more and more each day or week etc. .

The old addage that "sex sells" has been taken to another level when discovered that bare feet or just feet in general, especially the female feet are sexy. Barefoot women are sexy or sexier and the demographics aparantly have proven it enough to make Advertisers take notice and advantage.

What I've noticed is the huge number of cover illustrations on new books that feature bare feet.
Next time you go to the Borders or the Barnes & Noble, look through the new arrivals section and tell me you don't agree.

Yep! I agree. There definately is more awareness of feet over here in the UK.
They always used to cut off the feet in posters and adverts now they don't so much.

Considering that 6/10 males have some sort of fascination with the female foot, we have our own demographic, no?

Feet are mainstream (you don't know how long I've been waiting for this), and the media, as we all know, will do anything to sell their products.

Hey Del i'm definately hearing that; i'm also out of the UK as well. Have you by any chance seen a program called Babe-Station on the Game-Network channel on Sky ?. It's a text based request program and air's past watershead and is obviously adult themed. But the suprise to me was almost a third of the requests are for Feet or Tickling 😀 and 50% of the time they carry out the requests. 😉
I would consider this one of the first mainstream programs i've seen which contains regular intentional Foot-Fetish and Tickling Scenes.

This is definitely true. If advertisers notice that something is considered sexy, and will sell without them getting in trouble (i.e. having a topless lady on a commercial) they will eagerly use it.

Because when you have a woman in your ad that is barefoot, folks that don't have a foot fetish think nothing of it, while folks that do have some new wanking material. And for those individuals, the ad sticks in their brain (As evidenced by the folks in this thread that remember what products were being advertised). Thus, more money is made!

On Fear Factor on Monday, they had 6 Miss USA contestants on.

The first challenge was to hold their breath underwater while suspended by their ankles.

This featured some nice sole shots and some great shots of very nice women hanging upside-down.

You may be right in that theory, now all that mainstream needs to do is realise that same fact for us tickle pervs too, that way mainstream films would produce some decent real material that lasts more than 5 seconds. That my friends might take a few decades to happen.🙁
