This is my first attempt at starting a new thread so i hope its ok and in the right place and not a old topic already covered.
Its more of a mild or mini rant i guess, perhaps more suited to a blog.

I may be wrong but once the media attaches itself to a theme or topic, it seems to be covered at every possible time or opportuity.

Such items recently have covered the "TITATIC" " 100 days to the "OLYMPICS" "pending petrol tankers divers "STRIKE" "hose pipe "BAN" "DROUGHT"

Maybe i have a negitive attitude towards some things but the stock market and shares are influenced by rumour and gossip speculation and this effects us all, with housing, cost of living, jobs.
When will people stop whipping these things up into a epidemic level of frenzy, and calm down.
I mean i ask you, will the next thing be "shopping days to exmas" and summer is not here yet.
100 days to the OLMPICS its nearly three months for gods sake.
I forgot the "QUEENS JUBILEE"
These things all cost billions and billions, but do bring tourists and jobs and also money, wither it balances is another thing.
Can't help but think of all the people starving and being killed bombed every dad after day, year after year, all the world wide disasters and how long it takes to rebuild, and somtimes get to wondering wither we have our priorities right.
I won't go down the political or religious route, but it does make one wonder about the state of our world,is the TITANIC and the "OLYMICS" the be all and end all i think not.
Out of interest are things similar in the USA.

Dude, until I read that last sentence, I thought you were from the USA.
We do this hyper sensationalized, constant pestering of crap on a constant basis.
What I love the most is the (of course it's not officially named this, just something I like to call it) "Disease of the Year!" The one virus or disease that's going around that they love to make sound like the next Plague, and yet somehow loses all of it's deadly potential (of course, it just loses its media appeal) the next year.
