there still gonna Suck my team is the Blazers!!! but they lost a heart breaker tonight vs. the kings 95-94 Sabonis had the finally shot but he missed the hook shot🙁

I'm a Blazer fan myself,

But their 6-7 season isn't doing much for me now.

Plus, 1-12 is much more entertaining!!!

Congrats to the Grizzlies! Not only did they win, but they defeated MJ's Wizards as well. 😀 The Kings are pretty good, and now Shaq's back for the Lakers, but the team that amazes me most is the Dallas Mavs. 13-0 for the fourth-best NBA start ever! The three teams ahead of them all made the NBA finals. Who knows? I'm a Lakers fan, but if L.A. or Sac don't win it all this year, Dallas just might! 🙂

I can't help but notice that you have an Angels banner on your signature. This makes me think that before anyone gets too excited about Little Mark Cuban's Dallas band of 3-point gunners, one should take note that those very same Anaheim Angels you salute began the season with a record of 6-14!!!!

As the Angels proved this past season, and as the Lakers proved the last three seasons, it's how you finish the year that counts. While Dallas has started well, it's important to note that the Kings have been without Mike Bibby, their MVP of last season. Also note that the Lakers have likewise been without not only the most dominant player in the league in O'Neal but also sixth man Devean George; were also without Rick Fox for the first several games; and have seen Kobe Bryant (ankle) and Robert Horry (injured just about everywhere!) play injured.

As for the Blazers, they will never win anything with that team full of head cases. Talented bunch, yes, but sometimes it seems that Portland wants to just stock its roster with the most dysfunctional players in the league (just this week, two players busted for pot, case in point). The Blazers will have to purge their roster of all or most of these problem guys if they ever want to win anything. I think Cheeks has a strong chance to be a good coach, though.

We can not forget that Shaq has three-peated his Lakers to championship rings!!!

I couldn't agree with you more, tk86! I said the Mavs MIGHT become champs, but the Lakers and the Kings are still very much contenders, and should either of those teams meet Dallas in the playoffs, I don't think the Mavs will come out on top. I'm well aware of how the Angels started and finished last season, so I know what you're talking about. As for the Blazers, they had their chance in 2000 and blew it when they let the Lakers come back in the 7th game. The start by the Mavs still impresses me, though. Just my 2 on the NBA. 🙂

Grizzlies suck, BUT with Jerry West at the helm, they will eventually be a competitive team. it would take a LAKER to do it!!!

as for the rest of the NBA, my WORLD CHAMPION Lakers will 4-peat. why? because tehy will get Phil his 10th ring. they will forever etch themselves in history as only the second team to win 4 in a row. not even the Bulls did 4 in a row. (we cant help it if Jordan bailed twice after both 3-peats). they will win it for Chick Hearn. right now, only injuries are keeping the Lakers from being on top of the standings. here's my thoughts on the other teams.....

Trail(jail)Blazers: tons of talent. NO BRAINS. they really do need to pull this team apart. all chiefs, no indians....

Mavericks: fast, run and shoot type team. exciting basketball, Nash, Finley, Dirk, Van Exel, and a grip of exciting players. but just ONE problem. no defense. defense wins championships.....

Spurs: Robinson is old, Duncan is the man, but no heart. will do well, then they hope they dont have to play the Lakers in the playoffs so they can watch Kobe end their season yet again.

Kings: talent dripping out the wazoo. however, they CRY to damn much. "Game 6, Game 6!!!" they should remember game 5 when the officials helped them. my biggest gripe is that they cry about game 6 so much, but yet they LOSE at HOME in Game 7. where was all the bravado of Floppy Divac when he said the lakers wont win without home court? Mike Bibby is the man, but let's see if he wasnt a 1 year wonder. the Kings should also remember that last year, the Lakers werent really paying attention to them. yeah, best record, but the Lakers didnt take them too seriously until they lost game 5. this year, they KNOW the Kings exist and are quite pissed that the Kings are running their mouths. let's see if Chris "Timeout" Webber can step it up and not defer to Bibby. let's see if Floppy Divac stops flopping. let's see if Doug Christie can stop being a wuss and get away from his wife. let's see if Rick "I just cant beat Phil" Adelman stops crying like a bitch and coach. let's see if the Kings are as good as their mouth.

Lakers: only thing that will stop them is injuries. they have way to much focus to lose this year. again, the only team that can beat the Lakers is the Lakers....

As spanish fan i wish GASOL team wins many games from now! Go Pau go!
Anyway, i am a Lakers fan, and now that we have the "big man" back, it will be easy to win the 4th!!! 😛
