Message on intro page

It probably depends on how everyone browses the Theater, but when I first pop in, I always get the message that HDS stickied up way back on Sept 23rd of last year titled "Recent downtime and the aftermath". Maybe others navigate in differently and are spared this, but I feel that the notice has been up long enough, and was wondering if perhaps we could put something else up there in it's place. Preferably something that doesn't say, "Rick Tibbler is a weenie" or the like.

If for whatever reason this isn't a clear enough request, I can save a "print screen" and post it as an attachment, so the mods will know exactly which message I am referring to.

I've saved and open directly onto the Community page rather than the Home page, thus avoiding Announcements altogether unless there's a fresh update. You might try that.

I did wonder that myself about the old news, but wouldn't say it was a problem to me in any way.

Tells me that the site ie open to problems like all sites.

I haven't paid much mind to the message, but I have to agree with Rick, I think it's time for it to come down.

I created a "welcome" thread in Announcements to replace the old news for now.
