I use Windows Movie Maker that came with my computer. You can edit (as in simply cut or reduce/lengthen the timing of) video, still pictures, sound and music, and it even can make beginning and closing credits........or put text over any specific picture or scene. Just takes a little practice to get things the way you might want them. Then it also lets you publish your video in several different ways depending on what your intentions are. Pretty versitile for what I need. However I don't use the Windows Live Movie Maker because *I'll make this as less technical as I can which is easy since I am basically computer stupid* it sucks skunk farts. Windows Movie Maker is easier and far more forgiving if you need to change something you may have screwed up.
Forgot to say Windows Vista is my operating system......don't know if this matters I am just filling in what I have to maybe help you....Send me a PM if you need some more advice/ confusion...I'm good for both. LOL
