You have to love girls for being girls. I have always had the theory that the adult female psyche is just like that cute little five year old girl that is walking around in her mothers heels looking the way that she thinks she is supposed to look, and hoping to feel confident, secure, and independent, and that the male adult psyche is of a 5 year old kid walking around in his dads work shoes, breaking things to feel more masculine.

When it's so simplfied as that, it's just role-playing really. So no, you're not far off. Parents are always looked to as the model which makes a productive individual. But if those parents are not, then it's even more reason our children are failing these days.
