Monty Python

A Great "Tickling Accelerant"

As you may have heard, I am told I am a "better than average" vocal impersonator and love to do Python monologue (in role) and "cockney" accent and brogue and cartoon voice emulation.

This has proven to be a VERY EFFECTIVE "tickling accelerant" to use on our very own Mimi!😱 :wow:

Had her "in stitches" through the end of the Super Bowl Gathering, when combining this technique with some good wrestling and tickling efforts. She kids you not! I can safely say Mimi is ONE OF THE MOST MUSCULAR females I have ever had the pleasure of tickling, but Python, et. al. help me level the playing field.

So, if she accepts your request to tickle her, break out your best Python and EAT YOUR WHEATIES!

*GuitarPeteTklr shreds his way back into tickling oblivion*😉

Life of Brian = about the funniest godamned movie I've ever seen.

I've seen a few of their skits, but by no means am I an expert. What's your guys' favorite movie/skit of MP?

Life of Brian.....sigh....I even have it in book form. giggle

I'd have to say Holy Grail is a funnier film than Life of Brian in my book. Brian got caught up with a message and the jokes got pushed to the side in places.

My favorite sketches include:

"Gumby Brain Specialist", which is difficult to describe and must be experienced firsthand.

"The Hungarian Phrasebook", where John Cleese plays a cheerfully clueless foreign tourist whose English/Hungarian dictionary offers assorted pornographic phrases for apparently mundane requests: "My nipples explode with delight!"

"Self-Defence Against Fresh Fruit", where Cleese is a karate instructor who teaches his students appropriate martial arts moves for dealing with assailants armed with raspberries or bananas, i.e. shoot them, drop a 16-ton weight on them, and set the tiger loose on them.

"The Bruces Philosopher's Song" in which a trio of Australian Philosophy Professors (all named Bruce) sing about the drinking habits of great philosophers.

I always liked the episode where these "Wildlife Experts" are shooting a nature show about fishing. The elusive fish they seek has been mapped out to be in the most insidious of places...

...the flooded basement of an elderly couple's flat.

Had me rollin' 😎

The ministry of silly walks..a John Cleese classic.....

"I came here to argue"
"No you didn't"
"Yes I did"

"Well, this is an arguement"
"No it's not"
"Yes it is"
"No it's not"

"Oww, stop hitting me, I'm here to learn to argue"
"Oh, argueing is down the hall, this is "Getting-hit-in-the-head" lessons".

OH MAN! i love Monty Python too!! this is a great thread! some of my favorite sketches include
::Self Defense Against Fresh Fruit::
~ Eric Idle:What if he attacks you with a POINTED STICK?
~John Cleese: Shut up!

::Little Red Riding Hood::
John CLeese dressed in a blonde wig and Bravarian drag...need i say more?

::Wink Wink Nudge Nudge::
the twist at the end is classic Python, anyone who's seen it knows what i mean

i could go and on and on...

my 2 cents on the movie issue is that Holy Grail is funnier..who has the Special Edition DVD?

and i'll pose a question: who's your favorite Python?

Python was great...when the UFO swept down into Life Of Brian, I thought I was gonna bust a gut 😀.

HOWEVER, Python was not the last word in British comedy! The best, in my opinion, was the "Yes, Minister/Yes, Prime Minister" series, possibly some of the funniest political commentary ever done, period, end of discussion.

I love Monty Python.

My favorite skits in no particular order:

1) The Dead Parrot skit.

2) The Lumberjack Song.

3) The "how not to be seen" skit.

4) The cheese shop skit.

5) The Black Knight and King Arthur Sword fight in the Holy Graille movie.

6) The Castle Anthrax in the Holy graile Movie.

7) The organ donor skit in "The Meaning of Life Movie".

8) The Ministry of silly walks skit

9) The Spam skit featuring the grammy winning song "Spam"

10) The Knights who say Ni from the Holy Graille movie.

and now for something completely different....

PETE!!!!!!! 😱 😱 😱 😱

How dare you give away my weaknesses, you brat! LOL! Though it's true. Pete has AMAZING talents vocally with impersonations and such, and he also is unbelievably funny. Combine the voices with the humor, and he can drop a lee without laying a finger on them! DEADLY! He had me in stitches. It was soooooooooo great!

Thanks for the compliments on my muscularity though 😀 😀 😀 😀 You did a mighty fine job of keeping me down and under control!

I, too, am a HUGE fan of Monty Python. Got a 2 CD set of their skits that I play more then any music CD. They are/were truly one of the finest and funniest forms of entertainment around.

"I'd like to buy a license for my pet fish, Eric...."

Mimi 🙂

The Flying Circus episodes are by far the funniest things I've ever seen. One line that always come to mind whenever I hear politicians spouting double-speak comes from a skit in which the British Navy is being accused of cannibalism. An admiral, speaking before some reporters, sais that "there is absolutely no cannibalism in the Royal Navy, and when I say none, I mean there is a certain amount."
