It looks like they changed the story around alot, but it seems FOX is taking the series in a serious tone and look to take the same feel as the Lord of the Rings movies. Here you go:

As of right now there is no definite title. The most obvious choice would be plain ol' "DragonBall Z" box FOX is also leaning toward "DragonBall Z: Unlimited" or "DragonBall Z: Fight For Man Kind."
Director and Friends:
The biggest secret of them all is who the director is. Not even Mr. Z knows the answer (or he just doesn't want to tell me) but rest assure that a director has be hired. Back in October FOX asked Alejandro Amenabar, director of The Others, if he would like the job. He declined. I don't blame him. I would hate to be the guy that screws up DragonBall Z. The script was written by Tedi Sarafian (who wrote the script for Tank Girl and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines) and by another guy whose name I don't have at the moment. DBZ creator Akira Toriyama was hired as the films consultant but wanted too much control over it so FOX made him sign a new contract which basically gave him the boot.
Cast:
Here's what you've been waiting for. Some actors have signed contracts and some have simply said they would do it. Some characters have not been cast yet but those who have are subject to change. Remember, anything can happen between now and filming.
Goku - Hugh Jackman (X-Men, Swordfish, Van Helsing). Goku will go through many ages as he grows in the film so others have been cast as well to play him as "young Goku", "teenage Goku", and so on. But Hugh Jackman will play the adult Goku.
Vegeta - Guy Pearce (Memento, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Time Machine). Ray Park was at the top of the Vegeta list but Pearce got the job.
Piccolo - An unknown actor who's name I don't have right now but I will get it soon. You'll crap once you hear who FOX was considering: Damon Waynes and Tommy Davidson! It makes my head hurt with confusion when I try to think what FOX saw in two awful comedians that made them say "PICCOLO!!!"
Raditz - Jason Bateman (Teen Wolf Too, Necessary Roughness, The Sweetest Thing). A lot of people probably have no idea who this guy is. He's been around for a while and has been on a number of TV shows.
Yamcha - Paul Walker (The Skulls, The Fast and the Furious, Joy Ride). He's a good actor but I don't really see any Yamcha in him. Oh well.
Tein - Orlando Bloom (Black Hawk Down, Lord Of The Rings, Pirates Of The Caribbean). I think this is a very good choice. He's probably kinda skinny but he looks just like Tein with a shaved head.
Bulma - Jessica Alba (P.U.N.K.S., Idle Hands, Dark Angel). Yes, she will have blue hair.
Puarr, Oolong, King Kai - These guys will be CGI. I don't know who will do the voices. And don't worry, Puarr and Oolong will only have small cameos. Other actors have been cast but they are all unknowns and I don't know who they will play. Once I know I'll put it up here.

The movie starts off on Goku's homeworld where a great disaster distroys it(alot like superman)Goku is put in a capsle and sent to the sayan mother ship. On his way there the ship is hit by an asteroid and sent in a differnt direction. He crashes on Earth and is trained from an infant by an old master of martial arts. THe movie than skips ahead to when Goku is a teen. At the same time a older alien from another planet lands on earth,
Goku has a huge fight against this alien which Goku finally shows his strenghth and wins at the end. The alien tells Goku who he is ,Picollo, and offers to train him. They have a period where Goku is being trained to harness his powers and creat energy blasts from his hands. They also show Picollo taking 7 balls from his space ship, he tells Goku that they are Dragonballs and that you can make wishes with them. He throws them up in the air and they fly in different places all over the Earth. They skip ahead to when Goku is in his 20's. Picollo does not age in this movie and is the same actor from start to finish. There is a big tournament that Goku enters and he wins the tournament easily. This is where he meets friends like Krillin, Tien,Yamcha, and Bulma. The sceen than goes onto the sayan mother ship where they show King Vegita killing a larger sayan who has rebeled against Vegita. They than go to the bridge of the ship where they tell him they have found the generals son. He than says "dispatch his brother". Than 5 capsels leaving the ship and heading for Earth. They than go back to Earth where they show a now slightly older Goku and his friends training. They than all sense a force and look to the sky to see 5 pods entering Earths atmosphere. They all fly to where the pods crashed and see the sayans. A huge battle happens and all the sayns but Goku's brother is killed. Goku and his brother have a huge fight when Goku creates a huge energy blast that almost kills his brother. With his last once of strenghth he shots an energy bolt that goes past Goku but kills Krillen. Goku is out raged but Picolo tells him to use the dragonaballs to wish him back. While they were having this conversation it was being transmitted to Vegita. He hears about these Dragonballs and decides to go get them. Then Goku's brother says with his last breath that his name is Raditz and that he is his brother. He tells him that Vegita will be coming and they have no chance. Than goku, tien, yamcha, picillo, and bulma go and search for the dragonballs. They show the hard ships that they go through but finally they get them all and summon the Dragon. They wish Krillin back and start there training. While they are training Goku is shown falling in love and having a child which he names Gohan. Goku is also summond by a great trainer named Kai. He traines Goku and he learns new techniques.It takes 2 years for Vegita and another sayan to reach earth. When they reach Earth they face off aginst each other in a huge battle that lasts longer than the first one. In the end many of Earths hero's are killed and Goku is badly injured. One of the bad guys escape.
Important Facts:
FOX is shooting for a PG-13 rating and a running time of somewhere between 3 to 4 hours. They are hoping for the DBZ movie saga to be 4 episodes long (4 movies). They will most likely be The Saiyan Saga, The Freiza Saga, The Android/Cell Saga, and the Majin Buu Saga. George Lucas' CGI company ILM has signed a contract to do the special effects so expect some kick ass action scenes and imagery.
