Morning news

[Relent<]

the story itself isn't nearly all that interesting, so much as what i find funny that i picked out of it.
So I'm wandering about the house this morning, and the TODAY show is on one of the TV's. Naturally I'm not paying it the slightest bit of attention when I hear "Ferguson....topless sunbathing...while sucking her toes"
I've never taken a doubletake at my tv fast enough to make my neck hurt, but that phrase, those words, caught me so off guard. lmao
I googled all of the words i could remember from that point forward, and it has something to do with the ex-wife of prince andrew and some infidelity scandal from about 20 years ago. Currently, she's being confronted about taking bribes from an undercover reporter etc, there's a whole article I care not to recall.
still, thought it was an interesting anecdote. ;p

No offense, but...

Hundreds of gallons of raw petroleum are spilling into the Gulf of Mexico. The Supreme Court is performing lobotomies on our body of laws. The economy is still in the toilet. And I'm supposed to care about the stupid things that a famous person's ex-wife does? (I felt the same way about President Clinton's sex scandal).

I'm not saying I care; I'm just saying that those were words that grabbed my attention. Besides, the sex scandal was from like 20 years ago; she was on the news this time for breaching British palace security for money. I dunno.
