I figured that I would add another movie thread to the list and pose this question.

What movies do you watch time and again, yet never seem to tire of?

For me, here are the ones that top my list:

"The Quiet Man" with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara
"The Thomas Crowne Affair" with Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo

and whenever I need a laugh I always turn to:

"Grumpy Old Men" and "Grumpier Old Men" with Jack Lemon and Walter Matthau

hhmm Liar Liar, and My Fellow Americans.

I think i have seen Blade about 50 times...does that qualify for not getting enuf...lol

There's only a few movies that I seem to never get completely tired of seeing. I have an old friend from high school who visits from time to time. At some point in the evening, we always seem to put on the old horror film "Halloween" as sort of a traditional thing.

A movie I watch every year around Christmas is "Beautiful Girls." If you haven't seen that one, you should go rent it. It's great!

Those are just two that I end up watching, at least once, every year.

Amnesiac, I will agree with Slapshot as the greatest movie ever made.

"FUCKING machine took my quarter!"

I can't get enough of that movie, nor of The Matrix.

I have seen "Cassablanca" about thirty times, and never time of it.

"I'm only a poor corrupt official" --Claude Rains

there are several.

i may have to amend the list, but this i came up with right away;
dogma
blazing saddles
lotr
blade
vampires (did you know the sceen in the armored car, when he's lecturing the new priest was adlibed?)
longest day

'The Godfather I and II'. I've seen it enough times over the past thirty years where I can sit there and recite whole swatches of dialogue through it, like those two people do in the Diet Coke commercial through Milagros' favorite movie.

"Fredo, you're my older brother, and I love you. But don't ever take sides against the family again. Ever..."

Knox I am ALL the way with you! Of course, I'm one of those rare Godfather purests who actually likes "3" too. But Knox, you don't come to Las Vegas and talk to a man like Moe Green like THAT! Thank God for the "Godfather Saga" being shown 100 times on AMC last year. In fact, I think I'll watch it tonight!

I also never tire of "Shawshank Redemption" and a buddy of mine and I recite lines from "Blood in Blood Out" almost daily.

"High Fidelity", "Forces of Nature" and "Return To Me" are on deck though.

And in the Kung-Fu realm, ALWAYS "Enter the Dragon", "Five Deadly Venoms" and "Kiss of the Dragon"

Too many to list....but current ones include "Blade 2" and "Mr. Deeds"

Drew

Okay, here goes...
Emma (Gwyneth Paltrow version)
Sense and Sensibility (Emma Thompson & Kate Winslet version)
Anne of Green Gables (all time fav, it's what got me writing)
Blazing Saddles (I'm just jumping from serious to down-right goofy, aren't I!)
Twister
Dante's Peak
The Fifth Element

More to come but I have to study for finals!!

Oh, Drew - Desparado! Waiting impatiently of Once Upon A Time in Mexico......!

Oh, Spy Kids 3 had the nice surprise of Salma Hayek in 3-D..... woo woo!
