Not much of a film/Tv watcher myself, but I do watch something whenever I can. So I'd have to say my list would be; Platoon starring Willem Dafoe, Tom Berenger and Charlie Sheen (before he became bi-winning 😛)
The Dark Knight, for making comic-book characters truly come to life on the bigscreen. The scenes with Bale and Ledger are a exemplar of how different characters can be played against each other by good actors.
Last but not least, Equilibrium. Yeah, it had a tiny budget. Yes, some of the props are a bit crap to the mainstream audiences who might find it a bit too talky when it's not in the numerous fight scenes. On the other hand, it's got a fantastic story, and top-notch acting (Christian Bale, Sean Bean, Sean Pertwee, Angus Macfadyen, William Fichtner, Taye Diggs anyone?) and it's my favourite film of all time.
