So a few days ago, me and Patrick were at the post office picking up our mail. As we’re standing in line, my eyes are looking at the wall of stamps. As I look, I spot a Spider-Man Stamp. ( If you didn’t know, I am a Spider-man Fanatic, I have been reading him consistently since the early 70s when I first was able to read!)
Mrcool *nudging Patrick’s shoulder* “Hey Patrick, they have Spider-Man stamps
Patrick “what’s your point?”
Mrcool “what’s my point! When we send letters, we could use Spider-Man stamps instead of the American flag!”
Patrick “what do you have against the American flag! You unpatriotic monster!”
Mrcool “that’s not the point, we need these Patrick. I’m buying them!”
Patrick “Don’t be stupid Graham, you never send letters and you don’t collect stamps. All you are doing is wasting your money.”
A smart person would realize that there friend is right, and would not purchase the stamps.
Unfortunately I am NOT smart, nor do I understand how Stamp purchases work.
You see normally stamps cost 50¢, but these stamps CLEARLY STATED that they come in sheets with 20 stamps each. I, of course, did not read this when I ordered my stamps.
I ordered 10 sheets of stamps, thinking I was purchasing 10 stamps that would end up costing me 5 bucks. Instead I purchased 200 stamps that costed me 100 dollars.
So I was very surprised that today, at my door came a package. Which contained 200 stamps. I am horribly confused at this point.
Mrcool “what the hell! I ordered 10 stamps, not 200.”
Patrick “then why did you order 10 sheets?”
Mrcool “what do you mean?”
Patrick “it clearly stated that they came in sheets of 20.”
Mrcool “Wait, so you knew about the 20 stamps and the sheet thing! And you didn’t tell me?!?”
Patrick “Like I told you, it’s a stupid idea. Maybe you should pay attention to all of the things that are trying to warn you”
