i'm sorry that you're having the same problem...but kinda relieved that its not just my mom's computer thats doing this...i couldn't figure out why it said there was a firewall when i tried to sign into messenger😕 weird😕
strange thing is its never done that before kurch...i mean Messenger has refused to connect me because the server is too busy...but not this message..dunno whats going on....then ontop of that to have MSN homepage not working at all...just plain weird.
Hmmm MSN messenger is working for me and I can get to the MSN home page fine. Are you certain thsi computer is virus free? If you have a dialup perhaps you need a new dialup number that is not so busy? The latter has happened with me. Also if you are running other apps in the background sometimes connections will fail. Hope this helps.😀
we have cable...i don't know whats up...because whatever it is is affecting my sister's computer too...she can't get anything up on hers...only MSN is affected on my mother's(mine isn't hooked up yet)
Its possible that the virus files may not have been updated. Also you shoud update with the latest security patches from microsoft if you are using Windows XP. You could call up MSN I know they have terrible tech support but it might be worth a shot. Hope this helps giggleygirl25😀 .
thanks hon...i appreciate the help...i'm running mom's virus scan right now to see if anything suspicious comes up(according to her Norton thing,it hasn't had a virus in almost a year)
Problem still exists but I now have an explanation. RoadRunner (my cable internet connection) says that because of "a glitch" nobody with certain cable connections to the internet (including RR) can get to any MSN website.
thanks guys...that must've been it milagros...mom has roadrunner as well...and now in the light of day(afternoon) i have my email back...and messenger *does happy dance*
