As it says right in the group, yahoo is popping up random messages when bandwidth is exceded. So, patience and trying back is the key.

I just uploaded those files in this weeks selection. So, you should be cool to get them now.

Yeah. I know. It's a pain. But, again...it's just a random message being popped up. Everyone's getting them. With the bandwidth limits, and now close to 1,600 people going to grab clips, it will continue to be an issue. Again, just keep trying back and you should get them eventually.

I'm trying to think of ways to get around this problem. But, short of paying hundreds of dollars I don't have to create a site where bandwidth doesn't matter, there's not much I can do. 🙁

why not just make a crappy little geocities site to host them off, or www.netfirms.com, they provide 50mb of free space etc. i have a host with around 900mb and 2gig bandwidth but i cant reveal it cuz of my identity 😛

Yeah, I know it's a pain. But, with only a handful of folks requesting clips and over 1,600 playing scavenger, bandwidth is going to continue to be an issue. I've tried several times to post clips here. It won't upload them properly. So, I'm not going to keep trying. (I simply don't have enough time right now.)

As for geocities, I've tried sites with them on several occassions. They keep shutting me down. So, that's not an option I'm even willing to try again. If you still haven't been able to get them when you see this, feel free to e-mail me at [email protected]. I will e-mail the clips to you.
(NOTE: This only applies to those who originally requested the files. So, don't anyone else write, please.)

We're looking for a house and getting set to move. Once we get settled, I'm seriously considering setting up a group that will be open only to those who actually requested the clips. That way bandwidth should be less of an issue. That's a few months in coming though. So, if you want to drop me a note, I'll send the clips along. As for protecting your identity, I understand. I keep all contacts confidential. So, no need to worry about e-mail contact. 😉
