my first real art submission

this excludes that crappy ass MS pain thing I did a while ago. I finally got a scanner some time ago, and I've been intending to post a pic, but looking back over all of my old work, i was dissatisfied and decided that I'd make a
T-Theater exclusive. I just finished this about twenty mnutes ago and just got it scanned and uploaded to my photobucket account, so here for your critique is a character that I haven't named, but my working title for her is Shanti.
Edit: whoops, I forgot to tell about the character. Shanti is the youngest daughter in a long family line of snake charmers, however, she's not particularl talented. More often than not the snakes end up commanding her rather than the other way around due to their serpent-tongues and her ever-bare and ticklish feet. Her most powerful snake and companion is named Basilisk; he was once king of the Gorgon Empire until captured and reduced with a spell to nothing more than a king cobra. (Thats the snake on her leg)
I won't jump into the entire plot because, well, i don't feel like it. I plan to continue a series of drawings with Shanti, maybe even a comic someday, but for now, I sleep.

That is definitely a unique story plot, from what I can tell. It would be interesting to see where it goes.
