My keyboard needs help

My keyboard is Multi-function, witht he little buttons up top to do stuff, but none of them work. The control panel says what they should open, but they are non responsive. When I went under the device manager it said "Standard 101-102 keyboard". How do I get it to recognize it as a multi-function?

Look for an Install Disk

It probably wasn't installed correctly. Check all the disks and information you rec'd with the computer (I'm assuming this is a keyboard you rec'd with a computer, not purchased separately). You'll probably find a disk with the correct drivers.

I didnt get it from a store, I bouthg it from a friend

Then, if they didn't provide you with all the original disks that came with the computer, try contacting the manufacturer. They be able to send you a disk, or you may be able to find it on their website.
