You can adjust the visibility of threads from your UserCP. Click "Edit Options" from the list on the left, then under "Default Thread Age Cut Off" (about halfway down the page), you can choose either "Use Forum Default" (which works for me) or, if that does not work, "Show all threads." Be sure to click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page when you are done.
