My family and I never ever had this problem before at all until recently around August I think. Stuff that we have outside in our front yard are being taken.

Last summer my bicycle that I keep in my yard (i never had it chained) was taken during the wee hours.

Then a few months later someone ran off with my parents little table and chair set (2 chairs) that they sit in front of the house on.

Then last week someone stole about 3 umbrellas that we left outside to dry in front of our front door.

I swear if I see someone take anything else of ours of our property I'm chasing them with my baseball bat down the street; and I don't care if I get arrested.

We NEVER had this problem before at all so we didn't think twice about leaving things outside of our house. Now unfortunately things are changing...

We never even tried to leave things outside my house, because we knew they'd be gone in a minute. If it wasn't bolted down, they'd steal it. Heck, if it WAS bolted down they'd steal it. Our fence, for one thing - bolted into concrete, and they tore the thing up and tossed it into the road. (Okay not strictly stealing, but still along the same lines)

Our car got broken into a bunch of times, I went through at least a dozen wing mirrors, and have lost count of the number of times we've spotted people trying the door handles or elbowing the window trying to break the glass.

We've had a bicycle stolen also.

Stones being thrown at the window was common for a while until the culprit got caught by the people of the street and had some Community Watch Justice tattooed onto his memory.

We also had someone try the back door to the house once, but my dad shot him in the leg as he ran off. 😛

Well,we never had any problem like this but I would bet any money it's some neighborhood, teenage menaces. You should call the police and report these crimes they will investigate and maybe put some security cameras outside

Dude, I used to live in L.A. and we've always had this problem. The solution is to set up a hidden camera, then when the theif strikes again turn his ass into the cops.

We caught 2 people this way:ggrin:

Jesus fucking christ Senshi. That sounds like the community from hell. I feel for ya. Maybe you can get automated stun gun turrets or something like that. Oh, OH, or put something outside on purpose and hook on some electrical current to it (a nice surprise for a thief and a friend ^_~). How the hell did they get the fucking fence out of the concrete though (did they use fucking jackhammers?)? Also, how do you prevent people from stealing your car?

Only time I ever got burglarized (knock on wood) was in the mid-1970's. I lost a tape deck and a dish full of coins (didn't have much back then). The total of my losses was under US$30.00. It was the feeling of having been violated that was the worst part. It didn't feel like my home, my sanctuary, anymore. Wish the technology that Wildebeast relied on had been available back then!
