MyTickling seems extremely promising--however, every time I visit the site or even a thread that contains the site, my computer spontaneously restarts after ten seconds or so. This has happened three times, I am sure the problem is with the specific site. Anyway, I would greatly appreciate it if somebody could post the free preview clips from MyTickling.com here on the forum or host them somewhere.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Mike,

That is strange that your computer is doing that when visiting the site. I don't see any reason why your computer should be doing that and we have indeed had nobody else complain with similar problems.

This shouldn't be a problem, but I'll mention it anyway. There is a small java script on the site that is there for the top navigation bar... this shouldn't cause your computer to restart at all, its there so the buttons change color when you mouseover them.

However, if you have a firewall that is extremely dated or similar I *guess* it could be thinking that the page has a virus in it and is causing your computer to reboot? Doesn't make much sense either, just trying to help.

Please send me some information about your system and then I can try to identify your problem.

Browser name, firewall etc etc

Cheers,

MTS.

Try updating your Java, for starters.

What browser are you using? If it's IE, I strongly, strongly encourage a switch to Firefox. IE6 is, like, legacy technology that has trouble rendering anything newer than about two or three years. It chokes nearly to death on standard CSS. It's almost as bad as using, say, Windows 98. Until they come out with IE7--which may still suck just as much--I'd encourage you to go thy way to www.mozilla.com and download the hell out of Firefox (and Thunderbird, if your primary e-mail program happens to be Outlook or Outlook Express).

The only thing that could conceivably be causing the restart problem would be a script on the page, but it's unlikely that it'd have the power to shut down your computer.

I suspect you're using Windows, so I'm going to recommend going to windowsupdate.microsoft.com and running through the full set of updates available.

Thank you for your help, guys, but I do use Firefox at all times. My computer does bother me occasionally about downloading the latest windows updates, but once they're installed, I never notice any differences or improvements, so I've neglected them lately. I'll try installing those now, seeing as they seem to be the only element you mentioned that was inconsistent with my situation. I'm truly perplexed by this happening. on one hand, I'm relieved as hell that my computer's spontaneous biblical episodes (dying, coming back to life...heh heh) aren't deep-rooted and are only related to a specific website. On the other hand, the theme of your material, especially the playful-style tickling, shows a lot of promise and the last thing I want is to be a negative influence on your business. Thanks again for the tips, and I hope everything works out. If the problem persists, I would greatly appreciate a copy of each of the preview clips, perhaps uploaded together to rapidshare.de in a zip file.
