I know its a little early to be talking about this but if you do have a mock Draft how is you top five and to what team?
Here's is my top five players by name, size, position and school* to which Team* they will go to and why that team should be draft them:
1. Micheal Beasley 6-10 PF, Kansas State, Chicago Bulls : The Bulls are a young team their most experienced player is Larry Hughes with nine years. So they should draft Beasley and move him to the 4 spot. Then, start Joakim Noah at center and put Kirk Heinrich and Larry Hughes as the guards and then worry about small forward later.
2. Brook Lopez 7-0 C, Stanford, Miami Heat: Brook was one of the "Twin Towers" at Stanford and he is the better defender of the two brothers and that can be a catapult to rebuild the Heat with concerns about Alonzo Mourning. They would probably want to shake it up a bit if they draft Brook.
3. Derrick Rose 6-4 PG, Memphis, Minnesota Timberwolves: The T'Wolves can build around this young, explosive player, he is in my opinion one of the best pure PGs in this class. Then the T'Wolves can build around him with the talent they have in KG trade. With Sebastian Telfare, Al Jefferson, Corey Brewer, and Chris Richard. Derrick would feel comfortable in Minnesota
4. D.J. Augustine 6-0 PG, Texas, Seattle SuperSonics: Although most experts place Jerryd Bayless at this spot I say D.J. Augustine deserves to be taken. Ignore the craziness with the Sonics situation in Seattle and look towards what they need now. D.J. is a young player according to Rick Barnes, his coach he has the ability to make everyone better, he is a excellent passer. But that may be his weakness, because he tends to pass rather than take a shot. I mean come on, Kevin Durant was quoted as saying "I don't think I would be where I am today without D.J. (Augustine)." Plus with Durant whatever comes from the litigation, the Sonics will do better than this year.
5. O.J. Mayo 6-5 PG/SG USC, Memphis Grizzlies: O.J. Mayo is explosive and athletic. He is fast and can drive the lane at lighting fast speed. But in my opinion his weaknesses are Defense, Passing and Rebounding, and he struggled with the concept of team play. Because he was usually the sparkplug that got them going on offense and still the only one playing, but he has great potential and great work ethic. So with Marc Gasol, Rudy Gay, Mike Conley, O.J. Mayo will fit in with Memphis.
*(1. School colors, team colors.)
😀 I have opened Pandora's Box so feedback is welcomed no encouraged!!!
