hey Krokus, first of all welcome back!!!!

now for the NBA....it has to be my Lakers winning it AGAIN. i was laughing my fool head off when the Lakers beat Sacramento in Game 1 today. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. i know this series is a long way from over, BUT, just to see those cowbell ringing fools go SILENT was great. the Kings forgot one thing. the Lakers are "awake". they fooled around all season long, but now its the playoffs. it will be real interesting if the Kings lose game 2. if they do, i think i see a broom coming out of the closet......

in the East, i want the Celtics to win. it will be fun to see a Boston/LA final, just like the old days. but the Nets will bring a challenge. Jason Kidd (the REAL MVP) is playing great and it is fun to watch them play.

hey Krokus, why couldnt the Mavericks win their home games? i wanted them to extend the Kings to the limit.....

I am not saying I enjoy admitting this but I think the Lakers may be unbeatable. Shaq is not human and Kobe is not far behind him. I think half the time these guys don't even try till the 4th quarter.

Y'know, some people actually did predict that New England would come out on top. I went back through the TMF posts and uncovered a thread (http://www.ticklingforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9185) where I said that I thought they had a 'legitimate shot' at winning the Super Bowl (that's about as bold as it gets for me 🙄 ). The truth is, I was not the only one that made that 'prediction;' Joe Theisman, as well as Giant's coach Jim Fassel and Jet's coach Herman Edwards all gave explanations for why they thought New England had more than a fighting chance. But I digress...

I was pulling for the Mavs in the West, but they obviously weren't developed enough to cut it. Even Don Nelson admitted (prior to the Kings series) that he thought this was too early for them to really compete for an NBA title. They really are growing by leaps and bounds, though- particularly Nowitzki. He's already one of the best players in the league. Do not fear, Krokus; next year could very well be there year.

I have to admit that the Lakers definitely looked good against the Spurs in game 1. I do think that the Spurs are capable of beating them, but without Peja Stoyakovic (and who knows how he will play when he returns) and with the refs firmly against them, I don't think they will. It's too much for any team in the league to have to beat the Lakers and the lopsided officiating, and I feel like it was the same for the Bulls opponents during the '90s. Almost equally impressive to the Lakers effort was the New Jersey Nets Game 1 win. I thought they played well enough to really legitimize the East. The first five minutes of that game were about as exciting as basketball gets! Go Nets! (no 'bold' prediction this time, though)

OK before we start opening the bubbly and listening to Shaq tell everybody how much he likes Kobe and couldn't of done it without him.I think the Sacramento Kings have a legitimate shot at beating them.So,let's see if the Laker's can beat the Kings then,I think that they can beat any team from the east.

I am no Laker fan but I think this needs to be said. Yes the Kings beat the Lakers yesterday but even if the Lakers lose this series they are the best team in the NBA. Currently Shaq is playing with stitches in his finger and a bum leg that he injured recently and Kobe just had food poisoning the night before the game. All of this might mean nothing but I think it does. Shaq is still better than everyone even at 75% of full strength point is these guys can still win even if not at their best.😀

the Lakers should win this series with the Kings. after their fans poisoned Kobe (yes they did. just think about it), they had a 15 point lead, but yet with like 12 seconds left in the game, they were up by 3. the Lakers played poorly. i dont think they will do that again. i know Kobe will no longer order hotel food anymore... i still cant believe they poisoned him. nobody else in that entire hotel got sick, just Kobe.....hmmmmmmmmm

Kings all the way. Everyone other than people in LA knows that Bryant was not poisoned, he just tries a little too hard to be like Jordan. Do you really think he was sick? HELL NO, THAT IS BULLSHIT! Loser Kobe said to himself,"I wanna be like Mike, so i will tell the world that I am playing sick, and then go out and score 40." GREAT IDEA IDIOT! Your team lost! Explain this to me. He said that he was throwing up ALL DAY LONG. But amazingly when the game started, he was fine. The puking stopped. NOW THAT IS A MIRACLE. Give me a fu..ing break!!

Hey, did anyone notice who won game 3-I DID! Ya know what i think? I BET KOBE WILL SAY HE HAD FOOD POISONING AGAIN! Kobe thinks he is Jordan, but when is the last time the Bull's fans booooooooooed Jordan in the United Center? That is what happened to Kobe and the Fakers tonight, and I loved every second of it!

first i will comment on game 3 between the Lakers and Kings. the Lakers played like crap for 3 quarters. they embarassed me, themselves, the coaches, the fans, Jack Nicholson and everyone who loves Laker basketball!! then the 4th quarter comes and now all of the sudden they score 38 points. now they can make baskets. it finally caught up to them. they played like how Sacramento smells and they lost.


now for game 4. they finally displayed the heart of a champion. Kings fans PAY ATTENTION. if it wasnt for the 1st quarter where they shot like 75%, you guys get blown out. the Lkaers outhustled, outplayed and outscored the Kings for 3 quarters. yeah it came down to Robert Horry's 3 pointer, but nonetheless Sacramento showed that they couldnt handle the pressure. the Lakers played desperate. the Kings had a 24 point lead for crying out loud. they blow it. they scored 40 points in the 1st quarter, but only score 35 points in the ENTIRE second half. chokers.....

you cant let a team have life. they had a perfect opportunity to destroy the Lakers, now the series is tied. the funny thing is, as much as Sacramento cries about the officiating, i saw a bunch of Kings fouls that werent called. Kobe missed, but was fouled, Shaq tried to put it back, he was fouled. whatever.... remember Kings fans, you are playing .500 basketball at home in the playoffs. Arco arena isnt the safest haven that you think it is. remember, the Lakers are a darn good road team too.

if i see Chris Webber with that stupid look on his face everytime he makes a shot, or Doug Christie raising his fist, or Vlade crying like the bitch that he is, i will puke. until you get a ring fellas, you shouldnt be walking with a swagger.

One of the great joys of online anonymity is that I can express my complete and total loathing for the lakers without fear of physical reprisals 😀

Seeing as how my Pacers got bumped in the first round, I've been rooting for Boston, just because another star out of Indiana used to play there. I suppose it would be interesting to have a Celtics/Lakers finals again, but I still hope sacramento beats the stuffing out of 'em. And as for game 4 today......My biggest question was what's going on with Jack Nicholson? He looked like he'd been living in the woods for the last few years. I guess the grizzly adams look never really goes out of style. 😛

you crying Kings fans forget ONE thing. you can say Horry was lucky and bemoan that fact, but WHY did it come down to that? didnt they have a 24 point lead? why dont the Kings talk about THAT? if it wasnt for that 1st quarter, Kings get blown out. REMEMBER that.

when the Lakers get to Sacramento, they will bring their own damn food, their own pillows, their own bedsheets. i dont even want them to buy a bag of Skittles in their hotel. cant trust those cow-tipping people up there.......

Footman, I defy you to name any duo among active players that is better than Shaq and Kobe? For that matter, put your hate for the Lakers aside and name me the one player you would build your franchise around if you could pick any active player today. If you don't say Shaq you are nuts. I have no love for the guy but he is simply the best no one has figured out how to stop him consistently let alone in a 7 game series. Footman, I am from Cleveland and I hated the Bulls they ripped our hearts out back in the day many times but I still was man enough to admit that no matter who was on our team no one was going to beat Mike and those Bulls. I believe, unless they beat themselves which could happen, that this version of the Lakers is in that same category......Unbeatable

Talons-let me say I agree that O'Neal has been dominate for most of his years in this league, but as far as Kobe Bryant-give me a break. This guy would be nothing without O'Neal. Deep down, he knows this. Remember when he was in the NBA draft and said he would only play for the Fakers. WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU??????????????

Another thing i forgot to throw in Talons-I do understand your feeling about Mike(the greatest ever). And you did say the Bulls were unbeatable. That is very true, but the Fakers are not in this category. Maybe they were when ONeal was 100%, but he clearly is not anymore. And are you telling me that i am not man enough to admit someone is better than the Kings. Belive me, I am. But I first want proof.

the comment wasnt for you specifically. but c'mon, footman, you have to admit, the referees SWALLOWED their whistle when the Lakers had the ball. Kobe got mugged in the lane, and was FOULED by Jackson on the last shot. Shaq fouls out on a cheapie call, but Kobe gets hit hard. strange huh?

anyway, it will be SWEET watching the Kings lose game 7. the Lakers will rebound and win. Sacramento will find out just how tough it is to kill a champion.....

I don't particularly like the kings either. I just want someone to beat those arrogant (albeit justified, I suppose) "fellows" in L.A. I'm sick of listening to them, hearing about them, looking at them, etc. There's just something.....bland about them. With Chicago at least, it was fun to watch them beat the hell out of everybody all those years, the anticipation of who was going to win the west and become the finals 'runner up' to Chicago six times. Sacramento has the best chance in my opinion. And if Sacramento wins, Boston/New Jersey would at least have a fighting chance for an interesting series. If LA wins it's already over. It would be like Mike Tyson punching a wet paper bag. Oh well. I think I have 30 posts now which is getting to be more than my Pacers can win in a season.🙄

we live another day and now Sacramento now faces the "elimination" pressure as well. Arco, shmarco, they have a 5-3 record there in the playoffs. its going to be wild, its going to be crazy, but i expect the Lakers to take it from them. oh how sweet it will be to see Chris Webber, Mike Bibby and Floppy Divac CRY on their own home court.
