Yeah, so this thread is starting a little late, but what a tournament!

After a first weekend of some games that were on par with most higher seeds advancing , the second weekend has lived up to the term Madness. On Friday the first number one seed, North Carolina, fell to Auburn. And just now, the second number one seed, Gonzaga was beaten by the Red Raiders of Texas Tech. This is Tech's first ever trip to the Final Four.

The late Jim Valvano coined the phrase "survive and advance", and that is exactly what Duke has done. In back to back games, they survived a failed tip-in to win versus Central Florida, and then a failed tip-in to tie versus Virginia Tech.

My bracket was busted when North Carolina lost, my other team in the Final is Michigan State. I had picked 28 of the first 32 games, and had 11 of the Sweet 16 teams picked. With the Zags loss, I only have two of the potential Final Four teams. What a tournament!!

Wow, what a way to end a Saturday! Virginia was a second away from becoming the third number 1 seed to fall this weekend but tied it with a put back at the buzzer and then won it in overtime!!

If tomorrow's games are as entertaining as today's were, it will be an exciting end to the weekend and a great journey to the final four.

So it's Texas Tech, Virginia, Auburn and Michigan State going to Minneapolis.

Virginia survived a scrappy Purdue team 80-75 and Michigan State took down Zion Williamson and the Duke Blue Devils 68-67. For as much as Zion dominated the NCAA headlines this year, the Spartans put together a great game and toppled Zion's and the Blue Devil's quest for a championship.

When this weekend began, all four number ones were still alive, now only Virginia remains. It makes for an interesting final four that two of the teams, Texas Tech and Auburn are experiencing the final four for the first time.

I'll take Michigan State over Texas Tech and Virginia over Auburn with Virginia beating Michigan for the title. Is anyone else following the final four?
