Need help with band name

My wife and I are starting a cover band. I'm too old to try and make it famous, I just want to get out and play, have some fun, and maybe make a little extra money. We're stuck between a couple of names:

Where's Mike (That refers to our bassist, who has a habbit of disappearing for several weeks at a time)

The Village Idiots (My favorite)

The Sell-outs

The In-significant Others (originally 'Kate and the In-significant Others', but that's kind of long)

I'd say it depends on what you're "aiming" for...if you want to play wedding receptions, you should tailor the name towards that audience. No one is going to hire a band with a "too weird" name for their own, or their kids wedding, but if your audience is going to be found at local clubs of various entertainment purposes, then the sky is the limit, and the stranger the better, to stick in peoples minds... just my 2 cents, and good luck to you with the music! Q

...AND "The Insignificant Others" may put-off potential hires for a wedding reception gig.

"The Village Idiots" sounds ok and has a good marketing potential, IMHO.

I like a couple of modifications on the village idiot theme.

How about "Village Idiots"... no 'the'.

or "The Village Idiot" ... singular.
