Need some help

After seeing Sole Render's computer-generated tickling clips (see the link for details, the dude is pretty good), I am determined to try to do something similar (thanks a lot SR, I was perfectly happy just doing nothing at all)

Anyways, I have next to no artisit skills, and a friend suggested that I either get Poser 4 or 3D Studio Max

What do you guys think? I really want to learn how to do this stuff.

just thought id let you know, since your so enthusiastic, that the program used is poser 4... you can download it off kazaa. Ill help, you to learn what i know, on the condition that you contribute to my site (we'll think of a way to send the pictures if theyre too big)
and 3D studio is a good program to use too, more for scenes though, but you can make imports for poser. handy. don't go looking for 3d studio on the market, it costs $3,100.00 approx. unless your a rich bastard. you just wont get character studio or the tutorials with it. that's why i got poser 4.

Thanks SR. My friend called me to tell me he has a copy of Poser 4 and is going to burn me a copy of it.

He said it was not very user-friendly and he did not have any documentation with him, so if it's not too much to ask, do you have a tutorial that you can possibly e-mail me if its in text or acrobat format?

oh wait b4 you install it, get the pro pack, its almost impossible to pan and zoom and tilt without the pro pack, ,it just makes life easier. when you install poser 4 you need to use a cd kay that matches with the pro pack one (maybe search for 'serials' on the internet)
