Need some Router help

First, I can't connect to the net when the dsl cable is connected to the router and the router is connected to the computer. Secondly, I cannot connect to the router config page on the net. I used to when the router was connected to the internet.

Could I have botched it by changing settings or did I botch it by forgetting to change the password?

Is there a way to fix this without buying a new router? 😀

Well, not a relly useful description. Of course it probably has to do with changed settings.
The config page is not on the net, so you don't need access to the internet via dsl to see it. I guess you have changed the router's ip address. Check this. Try to "ping" your router and see if it responds. Check your pc's tcp/ip settings, the network mask and that stuff. It could be best to enter data as described in the router's manual.
When you can access your router, maybe you're already in the net.
Otherwise try to reset your router as described in the manual.

I dont know. In my opinion. Dsl is weak. Veri$on told my friend that they couldnt give him a full 3mb upload. instead it would be something close to 2mb, but he would have to pay the 3o or fourty. I like my cable modem better. Just my opinion.

As your router problems? hmm maybe the typical microsoft way to fix all problems. Reset your router like the guy above said. There should be a button in the back of the box or something you can push in.
