Ummm......not to be picky. But....

This thread was intended to be about whether folks were planning to go to NEST or not. It wasn't supposed to be about anyone's personal issues.

On topic, no, I don't plan on going for the very reasons I mentioned (reason? I guess it was only one, really, that being that NEST just isn't my cup of tea). As for the personal issues, it would seem that, from vman's perspective at least, they are directly linked to the question of who is going and who is not. Therefore, this extension of subject matter isn't so off-topic, IMO, since it deals with a direct result (supposedly) of someone NOT going to NEST.

But, hey, that's just me. I understand that the point is to sell this thing; I've taken business classes, I know how it is. Please, carry on.

Please note that NEST is a private party: they can deny or give admission to whomever they please. They deem it necessary to deny you admission this time. C'est la vie. If you have further issues with their decision, please contact a NEST organizer directly via PM or email. Please do not (And this goes for everyone else as well) fill this thread with, as Ann said, personal issues. It is intended for people to voice whether they plan on attending NEST or not; it is not intended to be a place in which to air grievances against NEST and/or its organizers. If you have such, take it off the forums. This is not a suggestion; it is what must happen.

I have removed the personal issues/off topic posts and those replying to them from this thread, leaving just your final one above this. I do not want to see any further posts of that nature or replies to such posts by others. There's a time and a place for everything; here is not the time or place for complaints about NEST that can only be resolved by contacting those organizing it.

Speaking of NEST, I've always wondered...now, most conventions have a dealer room where DVDs and memorabilia are sold. Is there a comparable sort of thing at NEST? If so, what kinds of...um...things, I guess...are sold there?

You'll find NEST shirts, tickling DVDs from various producers, magazines, videos (sometimes there's a video swap) occasionally there are tickling related accessories, feather necklaces, anklets, toe rings, etc. This year there will be a far more organized vending section, but not all the spots have yet been filled.

There should be Tickle-Booths, too! Y'know, like those old Kissing Booths at the county fair, except it would have someone in stocks, and you get to pick up a feather and tickle their feet for a minute or so. :happy:

Funny you should mention that! There's actually something similar planned. I just started a new thread with the latest news and information. Take a look if you're interested. Contrary to what some may fear, there's plenty of fun to be had...no matter who you are. :super_hap

Last count, there were something like 100 applicants. No idea on the ratio though.

Incidently, since everyone's asking about vendors, I'm planning on selling some of my original pieces at NEST if anyone's interested. 🙂

Some part of me thinks that you don't get the point of NEST - there's
tickling, and people being tickled all (alllllll) freaking weekend long.
(Even before we were officially a weekend event) Most times, all you
have to do is ask 😉

I'd love to attend a NEST event, but unfortunately due to lack of money and the fact i'm not even on the same continent, its extremely difficult. If myself and my boyfriend do come one day, we'll make it part of a longer trip to the States.
