Hi! I'm new to the forum. 🙂 I've lurked around a few times, looked, but never signed up until now. Mostly because, well, none of my friends know about my like of tickling, and they'd probably all have a "WTF Shen?!" moment if they did. Kinda hush hush. As such I'm kinda embarassed and insecure about it, but the likelihood of any of them finding me on here is probably 1 in a billion, so I've finally come out of my shell, so to speak. 🙂
I find it really hard to meet people...I'm shy and because of a rough childhood (oh the angst! I know. ^_~) I'm really uncomfortable around men. I like men. I'm straight. I've just yet to meet that one that can prove to me I have little to nothing to worry about. That's why I'm going to try this. I don't have instant messengers (well, I do, but I don't use them) and would really like to meet someone, whether it's to become friends or otherwise, and really enjoy just the basic, simple ways of getting to know each other though messages/email. I like taking it slow. 🙂
I'd like to mention that I don't find anything sexually fulfilling about tickling myself. 🙂 It's a closeness, trust, and playfulness thing for me. I'm a girl who likes the silliness and cuddling...you know, one of them hopeless romantic types. ^_^
So, since I'm new and I know some people may be weary of a newbie, I thought I'd post some things about myself. Kind of prove my sincerity to you fine people. =)
Cons: Why cons first? That way I'll scare off anyone who isn't serious. Mwahahahaha! I don't care for people "looking for a good time". I'm shy, especially around guys...I guess since I've never been in any serious relationships and my friends all consists of girls. I may come off a bit cold, mostly because I'm not one for conversation with new acquiantances (ie: shyness). I'm also blunt, not afraid to speak my mind, and somewhat outspoken. It can be hard to earn/gain my trust at first, but I assure you, once you have it you'll have every ounce of trust and loyalty that I can give you. I'm also cynical and pessimistic...towards myself. Everyone else, I'm an utter optimist. 🙂 Don't ask why, I don't know either. I'm just a silly, silly girl.
Pros: I'm loyal to the core, friendly once I get to know you, can be talkative and helpful, always there if someone needs my help and if someone needs company.
I enjoy the simple things. I'm not a native of Halifax (Nova Scotia), I just moved here about a four years ago, so the perfect idea of a date for me, would be going and enjoying the view, resting on the grass on Citadel Hill. I've always been able to appreciate the small things, rather than the huge, extravagant ones. As I said, I'm a hopeless romantic. I admit it. I want that guy I can love and snuggle and cuddle...someone I can just be with and romance without there needing to be something more (ie: sex).
I'm artistic, and into literature (both reading and writing), I also LOVE animals (especially horses), am spiritual although I have no set religion. I love the different cultures, especially Japanese and Chinese. I'm deeply into Anime and Manga (I'm a geek, I admit it!), as well as most fantasy genres and yes, I'm a Harry Potter fan. 😉 I'm also on a huge Ninja kick right now. ^_^ For other things; I'm a plushie/stuffed animal nut, as well as a big collector of swords and daggers (katana's, those sorts of things), and own a few myself. =)
I'm a tomboy. Be warned. I'm not a girl who dresses in silky, frilly, lacey things.
Traits for someone I'd like to get to know: respectful. I am all for the gentleman who takes the time to introduce himself and shows some respect. I'm just a girl looking for her knight (I'm such a nerd...). Someone who's into art or literature would be nice, since it's such a huge part of my life and something I care about deeply. Someone who is openminded and willing to try new things is always great too! (No minds in the gutter now *tsk tsk*).
Someone who doesn't smoke, and not drinking would be a plus...since I dislike both (though if you don't drink around me, I really wouldn't care). An intellectual side is also nice, since I appreciate nothing more than intelligent conversation...even if it IS about the latest SpiderMan movie. ^_~
Someone from this country would also be nice (ie: you are not an exchange student who will be leaving in a year or two), though for me, looks are of little matter and it's the personality that impresses me and really stands out. And if yer not **28** or under, I won't be interested...I'm looking for a love interest and/or a friend, not a second father....blech.
