New idea for sharing tickling clips.

Just wanted to let you guys know that the program I made is served on an FTP server which allows both uploads and downloads. I realize it might be helpful to the community to have the program that allows me to do this. I give a forewarning, though. I have tried before to serve a lot of tickling clips, and it slowed down my computer considerably...and when more than 3 or 4 people were downloading on the FTP server all of their downloads went very slow as well. This may have just been my computer, or because I was using a bad FTP server back then, but I get the feeling any FTP server would do the same with files this size and not the powerful server computer and more importantly the powerful connection to back it up.

Anyways, with that being said, I use Fastream right now (I used to use a program called Serv-U – but this seems to work better). Fastream is a free program, and the new version allows you to host both an html server (for WebPages) and an FTP server (more for files). http://download.com.com/3000-2165-10245513.html?tag=lst-0-2 is the place where I downloaded fastream, but if you just go to downloads.com and search for fastream you will also find an older version that only has the capability of serving FTP, and not HTML. I'm not sure, but this may make the program more reliable....anyways whichever you use, I wish you luck 🙂.

so we gotta Download a program? to even get the new tickling clips to even work? for your new idea for sharing tickling clips on the TT website that is right TT. would everybody have to download this FastStream to upload or download the Tickling clips onto there computer or burnt cd or what have you?

the way we have it right now seems to be working fine but you may see other wise

No, you do not need the program to download as well. If someone with clips downloads and runs an FTP server to serve those clips, anyone with any ftp client, or just internet explorer can connect to it and download.

But still, I agree with you that the way we have it right now works perfectly fine. Some people E-Mailed me asking about how I serve the files like that program, I think some people want to serve very large files that are more difficult to post on tickle theater - not quite sure but I assumed it would hurt to post some info about it just in case.
